What typically happens if you fail 4/5 classes in a semester?

You don't get credit for the classes. It affects your gpa negatively. You have to repeat the courses required for your major. If you have a scholarship dependent on maintaining a certain gpa, you lose it. You realise how much you dislike your major, and decide to switch. You become so despondent with your failure you quit school all together. All depends.
It's not something you want to do, but not the end of the world. Figure out why you're failing/failed, figure out what you can do to limit the negative impact, or make sure not to repeat the same mistakes. Where are you in the semester, you might still be able to withdraw with some sort of non gpa affecting designation. Just make sure to figure out what went wrong and not repeat it.

At least you're not failing with a 75% like some people. Fuck my school's stupid policies.

Well, this semester has been rough for me. I'm only failing because I've been lazy and irresponsible, not because its too difficult. I plan to try again. Its too late to drop out of my classes without a grade, I figure I will still go to them to get the most of it, right?
So, just because I fail a semester, doesn't mean I get kicked out does it?
they may put on probabtion, but if your results in the past have been ok its unlikely they would throw you out.

your university likely has some kind of deficiency points program, you'd have to ask an advisor or look it up on their website or in your student handbook. at least that's how it is here. so many F's will put you on academic probation, and eventually cause academic dismissal.
my university also has something called "freshman forgiveness" where if you get a D or F in something your freshman year, you can retake it and erase that grade from your record. i don't know if you're a freshman, but...there might be something like that available to you.
are you entirely sure you can't pass any of these classes at this point? i doubt your motivated to, but a strong grade on the final and a decent curve could give you C's.
either way, one semester won't get you kicked out.

See if your teachers will drop you. I had to do that with one of my classes because my advisor fucked me over pretty badly.

You dont get credit for them and your GPA becomes nonsense.
I suggest you quit college.
