I know many of you very rarely see sunlight but if anyone just plain likes to skate that goes on totse thats admirable. I'm not a strong believer in jumping down stairs and having to do dozens of flips to enjoy skateboarding. Anyways yeah...

Do you actually skate with that? Does it have any grip left?

(but I especially like the goosebumps sticker)

I would post a picture of my old board, but it's a blank deck...and I don't even skate much at all anymore. But it had tensors which I really liked (then I switched to destructos)

Yeah it skates well , I got sick of having twig boards when all i enjoyed was carving around town. So i invested in an alva board. I put on 70mm wheels after that picture was taken and it still was skateable enough to grind curbs

Local underground skate dealer, I skate on a blank. I've found Jays Boardshop has some of the best pop and keep it for awhile.

ITP: i realise that some people on this planet are born retards, i don't really like skateboarding but can understand that people do enough to come onto this thread and see peoples decks, This guy must be some kind of idiot.

When I was in my "skating" phase of life:

Element BAM Helium (which sucked, but WAS very light)
Tensor trucks
Black Diamond grip

Altogether the board sucked real bad.

I really hate Bam. Fucking girly sellout. He's not even that good, he just does a lot of acid drops and whatnot. Not that I'll ever be as good as he is, but seriously, he's only a pro because he's so cute and marketable (= fag).

When I skated it was all about Flip :), with that New Wave shit (I don't think that did much, but it looked cool :D). Can't really remember anything else besides tensors, it's been like 5 years since I had a nice session.

I haven't skated in three years..... I don't know why I stopped, cause I got really good, but oh well.
My first deck was a blank everything..... I learned to skate on a banana board, so when I got my own, I had some good balance and all that.
My second board was an Element with Orion trucks, I think Santa Cruz wheels.....
I then had a Mini Logo, with the same trucks.
Then three blanks.
Then another Mini Logo.
Then a Speed Demon deck, I think with Destructo trucks.

Then I quit skating.

I dont really care for the aspect of tricks and the fashion. I just like carving around town and the speed. I used to only skate santa cruz boards for awhile (they are the best around) They put out a design with a fibered top layer which kept the pop fresh and when it eventually did snap it wouldnt break apart for the life of ya. I started out skating lucky boards but lately ive been into pool boards and normal shaped old school decks. My feet are too big to be skating a 7.5.

Right now i have an Alva with ventures and pig wheels. I think i have speed metal bearings but iam not sure.

Skating aint a big deal but it has its moments

We'll I'm too lazy to post a pic of mine but I'll say what it is.
Its a blank deck from a local skateshop
Krux trucks the type with the diamond pattern on them
Plan B wheels
Mini logo bearings which suck ass

Its a decent board, I like the mini logo decks better. I got a pro deck once and it was a huge waste of money. Also fuck Bam as earlier stated.

i just got hte pool board last week n i fuckin love it!!
people, please don't do flip tricks, for the sake of your fun. if you're think you're having fun, you're delusional. go bomb n carve some hills and ride a bowl, grind shit, do vert, stalls, especially oldschool tricks. flip tricks were invented because people realized that they could do something others couldn't and they could get money for it (sponsers, competitions). flip tricks are flashy, NOTHING more.

bones reds, loose as fuck independents (only ones at the shop pretty much), minilogo 99a, 60mm wheels on the pool board.

innerspace deck, free/unknown bearings and wheels, the other ones are just too small from max powerslides lol. doh doh bushings and tensors on the popscicle board. most of hte scratches are from getting up curbs/ledges by manualing then bringing the tail up. i regret spraying the fallen logo on the board.

Whats the worst thing about being a skater?

Having to tell your parents you're gay.

what's the worst part about being insecure and close minded about skateboarding?

being branded as a retarded douchechav on totse. go walk, waste your money on gas or ride your bike till the bike rack on the bus is full or you can't put it in your friends car, use it as a weapon, and you have to lock it up everytime you go inside. or ride a scooter that can't go fast and is not as renewable as skateboards. or ride some roller blades which can't bomb hills as fast and stable.

surfing the streets = ftw.

Ah man, I haven't skated in AGES. I'm not a big fan of modern skateboarding, like NudistDudist. Very well said, by the way. I have a old Zoo York board, really small. But all I could do was ollie sub-averagely. How much does a decent longboard run?

SAVEtheWORLD&askmehow
2008-07-09, 07:06
you can make your own longboard for very cheap, just the concave is hard to make, but that certainly isn't neccesary, you can just grab your board if you need to turn more. oldschool doods did just fine without concave.

they are around 150-200. but make sure you check out Freebord and Flowboard, they're totally awesome.

i wanna get a carbon fiber board and put some bike chain greese on my bearings so i can ride it in the rain.

ollie'ing is basically all you need to know. bomb some hills, use your ollies to get around faster and have fun, powersliding is also fun and useful. spin tricks are pretty fun, i wanna learn how to street plant 2. try BERT SLIDES, manual spins, and half cab reverts. also make urself some sliding gloves!! wallrides 2.

Yeah, pools and bowls are the shit, I also like doing ollies into banks and such.

I've got a 8.25 shop deck with independents on it right now with some shitty blank wheels, does the job just fine.

I love skatin street, bombing shit is fun but kickflips and nollie flips are as well. When i've got the money i ride a baker deck with independent trucks which fucking last. I just got some deathstar wheels which fucking rock, reds bearings fucking cheap and fast. I recently got an erik ellington deck and then a dustin dollin deck they both fucking rock. I've recently switched to 7.75 instead of 8 it flips pretty well and is still big enough for me. I'm way 2 lazy to post pics but i do have a video up on you tube from almost a year ago now called appy headed hoes. Me and my friend have started filming for another one i think this time we'll actually spend more than a week filming for it and get some more street in it. So much fucking fun. I hope i never quit again like i did about 5 years back, been skatin for about a year and half since i started back. keep skating
