So my dad just called me on the phone. I asked what was up, and like nothing he just said, "Start looking for plane tickets to Moscow."
Bewildered, I replied, "Moscow, like in Russia?"
"Yep."
Seeing as how this was completely out of the blue, it really caught me off guard... but yeah, it looks like I'll be heading to Russia sometime this summer-- Moscow and St Petersburg. He said that we would only be able to do the trip for 10 days, and because I have quite a bit of successful travel planning experience, it is kind of an unwritten rule that I do every last bit of the planning for this trip.
So, with that said, I was just wondering if anybody here had any knowledge or experience traveling in Russia? It's going to be my dad, me, and two younger brothers... Real Brothers Karamazov style.... But they're still kind of young, 14 and 16... so it does somewhat shatter my dream of drinking shots of vodka in cheap brothels with the Russian mob, partying with cossacks or hanging out some Petersburg window drinking an entire bottle of rum (anybody? no?).
Even though it is a family trip, I expect this is going to be a blast. Just wanted any preliminary advice you guys could throw my way.
Thanks in advance!
