My friends have been trying to get me to join them in recreational paintball for a while now. They mostly play woodsball in a nearby forested field. As for myself, I have never played the game.

Finally, they decided to try to convince me to join by giving me their old equipment, a set of paintball marker and mask. The mask is a black Vforce full face mask with ear coverings and visor. However, I am only allowed to choose one of the following paintball markers that they are offering:

One of them is offering a Brass eagle Talon, looks brand new. It comes with a small hopper, 1000 rounds of paintballs and half a dozen 12 grams.

A second friend is offering a Brass eagle stringray II, it looks to be in okay condition, comes with a co2 12 gram adapter and a 200 round hopper.

And finally a third offers me a PMI Piranha pistol, it is a bit scratch up with a few dents. It comes with a holster and thats all.

They said that these markers shoots just fine. I have never played paintball before and the games they play are mostly recreational with very informal rules.

Any advice as to which marker offer I should take up on?

Dude, you use 12 grams? Why? Everything that Brass Eagle makes is absolute shit. End of story.

If u can buy a tippmann, whichever model u can afford i think the98 is the cheapest, theyre pretty decent for woodsball, dont get a brass eagle, theyre crap, belive me that was my first marker.

Thank you for all of your advice everyone.

I decided to go with the Piranha pistol, since it looks neat even if a bit scuffed up. It will make a nice sidearm.

I found a good deal on a used spyder marker on ebay. I think I will go try getting it.

Go to www.pbnation.com to look for used markers, they have a huge B/S/T area with cheap stuff.
