Go to the website of your local international airport and get an idea of all the airlines that have major operations from there. A lot of them have travel benefits that start the day you start working. An example: Air Canada offers all it's employees 10 passes every year free of charge. The availability is standby but beats paying. All you pay is the airport tax which varies from airport to airport and isn't that much at all compared to the cost of the ticket.

The jobs I'm talking about here aren't pilot or host/hostess jobs but ramp work and passenger services. Check out the airline's website and start applying.

If you can't get working for an airline, take a look at the different companies operating from the airport that provide services to airlines. Fueling, deicing, baggage handling. Most of these have deals worked out with airlines they have contracts for. Ticket discounts and such. Get the experience and move on to an airline.

Cheers.
