i don't get in here lately as much as i'd like. the army reserves has had me busy with training exercises and sorts of kewl stuff.

last week i was trained on how to use the army's latest thermal weapon site. it's a fecking awesome little gadget.

anyway, we here at totse anime care about our underlings...errrr...constituents. i'd like to know what you're all up to and how you're doing.

the purpose of this thread is sort of multi-purpose. post updates on where you are and what you're life is like or even just random chatter. we'll make it the off-topic thread of randomness and DOOM.

myself, i'm doin alright. i've been hating life as a civilian since i got back from basic and a.i.t., but i recently walked out on my civilian job (god damn lousy hotel) and i'm gonna switch back to active duty soon. gonna try to get stationed in japan or korea. in the meantime, my reserve unit's doing an awesome job of keeping me employed for the next couple of months training on new combat tech.

i figure that getting stationed in korea or japan'll work out great, because i can post the latest things i see regarding anime or just asian culture.

so, that's my life (carefully edited to prevent boredness or suicidal depression). how are you all doing, totse anime? :)

I do alright. Thinking of getting a job, but the only places around here that are hiring are Kroger, which is run by horrible slave drivers, and Lowes, which I am under qualified for.

I dropped almost $100 on a tux and tickets for prom, then my date backed out. I can't find another girl who's free on such short notice, so I'm going to have to go alone. I would just stay home, but I can't bring myself to admit to my parents that I suck that much.

I am probably going to fail yearbook class. Honestly, how fucking weak is that? I'm failing a class that involves taking pictures and putting them into pages in photoshop. I just can't stop dicking around long enough to get any work done.

Not really much good news as of late, but I'm confident it will improve. Of course, that's just the sort of thing everyone thinks right before God pulls the carpet out from under them.

i just figured they were closed because of a sudden surge of trolls or something...

Plus registration is down because something with the user registration fucked up with the switch to vBulletin, that Jeff hasn't completely fixed yet. As far as I know, he wants it to be open personally, but it can't be at the moment with the problems still looming.

Besides, this forum doesn't get enough traffic for there to really be a "senior mod" anyway. Just because lethargic's not a loser with several hours of time on his hands like me doesn't mean that he can't inflate his e-penor when he has to.

seems like it's been a while since i've posted in anime, and i'm pretty sure it has.

i went up to washingtion for a few weeks to train with my reserve unit at fort lewis. most of my time was spent running around in the woods, training rotc cadets on first aid. gods, i fucking hate washington state. :p

upon returning a week ago, i turned around and reenlisted myself for active duty. it's been a long time coming. my civilian life, between reserve drills, has been pretty much shit and it's made me rly rly miss being a soldier full-time.

so yeah, i'll be flying off to korea sometime next month. :D

my m.o.s. is listed as 25b, information systems operator/analyst. rly what i do is maintain computers and networks, occasionally radios, and every once in a while some moron will hand me a piece of equipment that i've never seen before like a thermal scope or a dagr and say "here, fix this".

even in the army i'm a geek.

but that's it rly. not a complicated or exciting job, but it's better than being infantry or e.o.d. :p

well kids, i was supposed to be off to fort leonard wood today and then off to korea in the next few weeks. as always, i got fucked. hard.

so now it's midnight and i just arrived at my dad's house. my recruiters are still trying to get me on active duty, but i'm getting the feeling that they're about to give up on me. in fact, they've taken this kind of "don't call us, we'll call you" sort of attitude.

If his efforts didn't pay off then it would have been the impostor making the thread notifying of the change and not me, and zok would have made a complete stranger mod in my place. I did get my totse account back via zok, same with my hotmail account. The new name was because I had been using Lord Valuemart various places since age 12, and it was time to hang that name up to dry.
