lately ive been searching for an anime that interests me but to no avail. basically i just want something like dbz but more grown up. less talking and more ass kicking! im not really into the really kiddy anime like bleach and naruto, i like stuff more like akira and princess mononoke (although i loved spirited away). the more blood and action the better, i can put up with drama too though if its a good story. im not really into guns and swords and stuff either just some good ol' kung fu and maybe the occasional kamehameha like attack. THANKS GUYS

Grappler Baki & Fist of the North Star would be what you're looking for.

I'd recommend Kenichi. It's a good fighting anime without the usual clichés that fighting animes are known of(ie. not being able to shut the fuck up).
It doesn't have a lot of blood though.
The fighting is in a more hand-to-hand-no-foolin'-around style - most of the time no lasers coming out of their hands, but there are some "kamehamehas" in the later episodes.

Hunter X Hunter, go go go! The One Piece fights are good too... but I'm not too fond of them in the anime (which is still ok).
