We have this Pansat 2700a satalite dish that we must update the "Parental Key" for every once in a while, or download some sort of a file and downlaod it to the actual hardware, we get those off random forums.

What I am requesting is some sort of information on what exactly is happening here? what's the key that we get? why do we have to update the key every once in a while? How can I obtain the key without getting it from someone else? A few links would be nice.
