I keep seeing the same names thrown around here over and over and I've decided to try expanding your horizons a bit. A lot of the stuff we watch is awesome and all, but we need to start talking about some new stuff around here.
Mahimaki and I tried this a rly long time ago. I thought I'd give it another try and see how it goes.
It was originally maki's idea, but i'm gonna tweak his formula a bit.

Just pick something you haven't seen before or maybe just something at random, watch a few episodes, and post a small review here.
Also, feel free to post more links to streaming anime or fast download sites. These are just the two that i usually go to. Any other comments and idears are welcome as well.
I recommend that, when you pick something, make a post stating what you're watching, then edit it later with your review. It'll keep things from getting confusing...I hope.

I'm watching Shakugan no Shana. I'm enjoying it. Season 2 finished earlier this year IIRC, so I'll be watching that too. I haven't heard the show mentioned before.

In lieu of a review, that's what I give to you.
EDIT: Having just finished season one, I'm happy to report that it is not a bad anime. Although Shana yelling SHUT UP/URUSAI repeatedly really pissed me off at first, it kinda grew on me in the end. The first couple episodes are kind of depressing and psychotic, then there's some romance and fighting.
The show has a good lore about it too. I'm sure there's a better word than lore to describe it... but maybe not. The anime "world" is good.
Certainly not epic anime by any means, but still quite enjoyable. I liked it.

Just finished season 2, and I gots to say there better be a season 3. I <3 this show now. Seeing Yuji learn to control power of existence and fighting like beast/slaying Tomogara was lotsa fun. And there are loose ends that need to be tied up now damn it - if it ends here I'll be pissed.

URUSAI
Heh, I love it when she goes "URASAI URASAI URASAI!!!" :D
I'm watching Persona: Trinity Soul. I mainly chose it because I've been interested in the game for PS2 but havn't gotten around to playing it yet.
I've got a shitload of games that I still havn't finished anyway...
It's a pretty good series so far, four episodes in, but I find it hard to review and/or just give a general opinion on it.
I'll post something more on it in a few more episodes.

I've moved on to Welcome to the N.H.K. Not really because of cruncyroll, but mainly because I'm a social recluse myself and hikikomori seem interesting.
So much delicious anime to watch... such little download capacity. After this I'm aiming to watch Eureka Seven (11GB), and in the mean time I can almost gaurantee I'll find another few I want to watch. I've already eaten 24GB of my families 60GB monthly limit, and we aren't even half way through the month... T__T
(edit2: I have... a slight addiction. I just started downloading Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. *sigh*)
*sigh*
The first two episodes of NHK have been interesting anyway. I've given up all hope of writing a coherent review of anything ever, so I'll just say I'm enjoying it.

Edit: I liked it a lot, but watching someone fuck up in every possible way that I have ever fucked up was really depressing.

Mai HiME, such a great series :'D Lots of badass fights, cute shit and all that good stuff in it.
PLUS I SAW MIKOTO'S BUTT! :D I think this series is making me want to go to Japan just to follow schoolgirls around and wait for an updraft >_>

I watched Genshiken off of Crunchyroll (back when you could watch everything that is now licensed). Very enjoyable and you could even find yourself laughing from time to time. Check it out!

Special A's funny as hell. Check it out. I think they have it on Veoh
I started watching a bit of Rune Soldier awhile ago. I thought it was fairly funny. The main characters kind of reminded me of a D&D party.

Zero no Tsukaima is really good. It is rather lighthearted, yet has a good ongoing story behind it that goes throughout the seasons/episodes.
Imagine Harry Potter except with mainly girls in it and that's about a summary of it. Definitely worth a watch, 12 episodes and 3 seasons (4th may be announced) so it goes by fast too.
