Statement by ...noone yet

A porche suddenly braked with squeaking tires. The man inside looked in his mirror. "There!" He put the car in his reverse and turns the wheel. A police blockade prevented him from going any further. He turned the car around and wanted to race off in the opposite direction but just as he put the gear into drive again more police cars came from that direction too. Soon he realized: "It’s over!"
Police officers stormed the car. All of them wore balaclavas and helmets. The man, desperate about his future saw no other way out. He pulled a revolver out of his pocket and put it to his head. Just as he wanted to pull the trigger something tore it from his hand. It was followed by a loud bang coming from above. A single sniper's bullet ended it all and the man was apprehended.
When fully restrained a policeman asked him: "How did you do it? Kill without trace?" The man sighed: "Very well then! It’s a note! If I write down a name in it, this person dies from heart attack" The officers look at each other for a moment. “You’re not serious?” Gambler_Justice replied. The man shook his head and said: “I’m dead serious. Why would I lie, I’m done for anyway!” 16bit searched his pockets and soon recovered a black note. He looked up and his face turned white. He fell back and screamed in terror. “What is it!?” “What’s happening!?” the others yelled. “Its..its a monster!” 16bit stuttered. Muffin King stepped up and picked up the black note. “Don’t be redicu…” before he could finish his sentence he too was struck with the image of the monster. He dropped the note and ran away and hid behind the car. “What is that!?” He yelled. The other investigators were curious about what their colleagues saw. DarkSkye then came with the solution. “Both touched that note and then panicked! Our man already said that the note can kill people! I think we need to touch it to see it!” The rest agreed and everyone touched it. Nightmare Syndrome gazed up and stared for a long while. Rabbhimself saw the hideous monster and took a step back but said nothing. Supperfreek saw the monster and then looked away. “Its hideous, how can it be alive?” Insanecrazy joined him and looked at the monster for a while. “I think it can help us” he replied finally. Muffin King regained his composure. “How do you think that?” Rabbhimself joined in the conversation: “If this monster comes with this note, he must know more about it!” 16bit added to that: “Then we should take the note, read it and store it somewhere where no one can reach it!” Everyone agreed upon this.

That means…” Rabbhimself interrupted him: “That the real Kira is among this same outfit!” “Exactly!” Supperfreek added.

On the following pages are long lists of names. After careful analyzing this list it is clear that the first 12.342 names are all of convicted criminals or suspected criminals. However among the last 3.213 names, 28 names are innocent businessmen.

Hello people of the Kira Investigation Team. I have reached a few conclusions based on the gathered evidence. First off there must be a second Death Note. The names of the FBI agents that were assassinated by Kira are not present in this Death Note. Secondly there is another Kira. The first Kira only killed criminals whereas the Kira we captured clearly killed businessmen as well for his own greed. Since only this team knew of the second Kira that means that someone within this team might be the real Kira. CRIME FIGURES ON A ALL TIME HIGH

Crime figures are on the rise again. Last weeks reports see an increase of atleast 300% in small crimes. Heavier criminal activity seems to stay on the background. The weariness of Kira' wrath seem to decrease since the number of heart attacks have drastically decreased. It seems Kira's curse has passed and criminals all around the globe now rejoice and wreak havoc.
As a result the number of active Kira supporters have dropped to an estimated 25.000.

If he's killing businessmen and criminal activity is on the rise, maybe this Kira is also a businessman just trying to get rid of the competition.

Saying only this special team knew of this man being Kira is dumb. There's a possibility that Kira might've known who he is, perhaps "employed" him even if the real Kira isn't on this special team.
Of course that's got little to do with the game - I just wanted to point it out.

I also agree with the points that L makes about the possibility of another Kira and another Death Note.

Since all names can be found in the sign-up thread, I don't think I would be actively particapating in the dedection process if I summed all the names up. See OP of this thread for the list of names.

Special Kira Investigation Team arrests Kira!
The recent arrest and mysterious Death of a businessman is linked to the criminal slayer Kira. The agents attempting the arrest were members of a secret Kira Investigation Team. Rumor has it that Kira kills with a book. How this is done is unknown. But pictures taken from a long distance with a telelense camera show one of the agents recovering a small booklet. Later a better shot of this agent was taken.

To everyone's amazement its Muffin King's picture in the magazine. A second booklet aside the Death Note?

Suppose I'm Kira, would I really ditch my book without having a plan of getting it back. Another thing, would I not pretend to have ditched the book in order to mask my identity. In fact, I might even masquerade as an investigator who found the book to further conceal my position.

Kira Game Round 2
The team gathered for a special assessment together with L. Since last week no arrest was made but Kira has kept low too. Somehow it seems Kira might not have been part of this team altogether and they just wasted a week. As the entire team assembled in the computer room 16bit mentioned that Gambler Justice hasn’t reported in yet. A computer voice, coming from L ordered the team to go look for him. On that moment the door opened and Gambler Justice walked into the room. He made a few steps towards the rest of the team and then raised his arm. In his hand he held a lighter with a flame flickering on top. He had a blank glance in his eyes. His clothes and face were wet and greasy. Then the smell penetrated the room. “GASOLINE!” 16bit and Muffin King rushed forward as Gambler Justice let go of the lighter and it tumbled towards the soaked floor around him. In an instance his clothes caught fire and in a flash engulfed his entire body. Without making a noise, Gambler Justice spread his arms and looked up. Then everything went black and he crumbled to the floor. Rabbhimself grabbed the fire extinguisher near the door and rushed in to put out the fires. It was too late for Gambler Justice. His charred remains were left silent on the floor.

The vote was inconclusive so Kira couldn’t be arrested. More work should have been done to recover the second booklet clearly seen on the crime scene. The fact that this booklet belonged to the first Kira means it could have contained vital clues towards the real Kira’ identity as he might have had direct contact with him. The suspicion clearly fell on Muffin King. However since no one mentioned this Muffin King went clear on this. Even after his identity was proven by the Magazine article only one person of the Investigation Team had to have asked Muffin King about this to put him on the defense.
This team’s failure to do so puts question marks behind their investigatory skills and L’s professionalism.
Gentlemen this is Japan. There is no jury of peers which can be changed. I judge alone and this week’s events have compromised my neutrality on this matter. Therefore I deem the second booklet inadmissible as evidence if it’s ever recovered.
I also criticize this team’s reluctance to speak up and investigate. If everyone keeps quiet the Kira wins by default since he will have the freedom to pick you off one by one.

Businessman Campbell dies of heartattack
Legendary businessman Roy Campbell has died yesterday night of a heartattack. During a business trip in Montreal his pacemaker suddenly stopped functioning. Onsee-ers claim a lightning bolt impacted just next to him. This is what caused the life saving machine to stop functioning. Campbell was rushed to the hospital where he was proclaimed dead on arival. The hospital spokesman confirmes the pacemakers failure caused by fried electrical wires caused by a strong electric shock or strong harmonic resonance. Campbell possessed a large and successful software company and held stocks and shares in multiple international trades.

Could this be the work of Kira? Or is someone in Australia playing with chemical weapons?

And as far as Roy Campbell goes I would suggest he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Shrine to the dead
As every afternoon, the team gathered in the lunchroom to ... have lunch. Gambler_Justice' funeral was a grim experience for everyone. A feeling of cold hopelesness ruled supreme. Everyone knew that death was but a few pen strokes away. Nightmare Syndrome shoveled into the room, he looked tired. His face was white and his eye's reddish. As like automated he walked towards the refridgerator. He made a lame move at opening it and then fell backwards to the ground. "What is it!?" Insane Crazy yelled. Nightmare Syndrome was breathing heavily and his chest spasmt from time to time as he drew slow, deep breaths. "Kira again!?" Dark Skye asked in fear. Nightmare Syndrome gasped for air. His lips moved as like he wanted to say something. He raised his head and stumbled: "...Not...Kira..." Then his head fell back on the floor. He drew a deep breath and said: "My notebook..." and exhaled all the air in his longue's not to draw breath again. His empty eye's remained fixed at the nothingness beyond. The room was quiet for a short while. "Dead?" Dark Skye started. "Heartattack" 16bit replied.

What about the chance of foul play? A DeathNote Isn't the only way to kill someone.

What I'm trying to get at is the possibility of an artificially induced heart attack. Could it have been that?

A new world

Everyone once again assembled. A note sent to everyone by L informed them to come to Rabbhimself' room at 3 PM. So did everone except Muffin King. Once in the room Insanecrazy grabbed the notebook and claimed: "I know who Kira is!" instead of forming words he grabbed a pair of scissors and plundged it into his neck. Blood squirted out and he withdrew the blades and then forcefully stuck them back in. Totaly in panic 16bit and DarkSky rushed forward to stop him. They managed to overcome the crazed Insanecrazy so he could not wound him anymore. Supperrfreek stuck his finger in the wound and thus stopped the bleeding. "He's going to be alright!" he said. Then Insanecrazy shot up as a terrible pain grasped his chest. He fell back and exhaled his last breath. DarkSky checked his pulse and came to only one conclusion: "Heart attack, he's dead!" 16bit retrieved the laptop from the ground. "Nightmare Syndrome's laptop might give up awnsers, I know the code and now that I have the laptop I can open the secure files." The three remaining men gathered around 16bit as he opened the laptop and typed in his the password. "Futsunushi-no-kami" he said. He opened it and immediately an email appeared. 16bit looked at the email for a few seconds and then looked at Insanecrazy's dead body.

The room was silent for a moment. Then DarkSky, Supperrfreek and 16bit crumbled to the ground in sudden agony. They screamed out in pain and as quickly as it began it ended with 16bit making one last lame movement at Rabbhimself who was unaffected.

For a few seconds there was silence. Then Muffin King opened the door. "God" he said; "Your enemies are dealt with". Rabbhimself retrieved the laptop and walked out of the room. In his stern face only a small grin was noticable.

Summary
It seems like Kira had free play but looks are decieving. L was very close as discovering Kira's indentity. Two days ago the Death Note in custody was tested for prints by forensics. The results pointed out that all members had touched the Death Note, as is cleared in the very first post of this game, however some prints were more frequent and spread out and pointed towards frequent use of the Death Note.

However stil more then 1 person came out of this test. Had L asked for carbon dating of the amino acids from the fingerprints he would have gotten two sets of prints which were much older then the rest, that of the previous Kira and the original Kira, Rabbhimself. Still these results were only of value when they were made public. These results would have clearly pointed in Rabbhimself's direction and might have turned the Arrestvote against him. Also Nightmare Syndrome didn't die because of the Death Note but because Muffin King injected him with Pottasium Chloride, inducing a heart attack. The 5th rule of the Death Note was fake, Kira did not HAVE to kill someone every Sunday.

Forum activity is quite low but I have processed over 30 emails since it began two weeks ago. This prooves that people are thinking but are afraid to share information with eachother. Muffin King was Kira's supporter and he was given 3 Death Note pages, Kira killed L by emailing the right name to me. This in turn set in motion the final sequence of events where Muffin King kills the remaining members.

Thought about it and next time if L can make a really solid case he can present it to the Supreme Judge straight away. Although L did have to power to put someone under surveillance once a week and this last week he could put someone under interrogation.
