(Mods,I don't post here so I'm not quite sure if this would be better elsewhere)
As a teen, and in an act of teenage rebellion (my parents were commitable Xians), I got into witchcraft.
I mean the 'Old Religion', not that US-Wicca nonsense, which is just an excuse to flaunt perfect silicon breasts while spouting 'blessed be' through perfect white teeth. Try prancing around naked in an English wood at night and believe me , worshipping the 'female principal' will be the last thing on your mind.
Anyways
The other night I switched the laptop off and was staring into the screen while thinking about a situation I have here.
To my surprise, the pink mists started to roll! (those who have done any scrying will know what I mean).
Took me a few seconds to cotton on, its been 25 years...
Do you realise that a laptop screen is a perfect Witches Mirror? Think about it.
Btw for those who don't know, a witches mirror is made by painting a sheet of glass black on one side.

Wow, that was confusing, took me a while to grok it.
Well, I don't really see a clear point to this topic, so I suppose it's meant to start a discussion on this sort of thing. I'll start first, wet my thirst for knowledge like you wet yyour thirst for life using the devils water ol' jackky boy: What did you use scrying for back in the olden days? Are you planning on getting into this stuff again?

Um, weren't Gardner and Ray Buckland Brits? I know Crowley was, and those folks are behind American Wicca, at least what passes for the most serious branches.
Back in the day, I was a Seax-Wicca Solitary, went to the pagan gatherings, got the tattoos, the whole nine yards.
But since Wicca IS a valid religion, I'm moving this to My God.

The impression I got was that the thrust of Jack's post was discussing witchcraft technique as opposed to the witchcraft religion in general. I took his comments regarding Wicca as just him taking an opportunistic swipe at American culture.
Or do you consider that distinction irrelevant, if a specific technique is affiliated with a religion?

I was indeed mainly concerned with the technology of witchcraft and yes it was a side swipe....I just can't help myself.

Wtf is scrying?
You need to be a level 20 shaman in World of Warcraft to use that ability.
---
BTW, is this real in the physical world, and what empirical information can be gained out of it? Or is it just non-physical data that you get out of scrying?

Sounds like a load of bull to me. If you deduce facts logically then there is no way its going to supply you with empirical data. But that goes for all religions anyway.

imy lvl 50 paladin would pwn you with his helm of disintegration.

ive heard of people using radioactive compounds as amulets to "keep their energy in balance" because we all know strapping a chunk of uranium to your neck will make you feel a TON better

I wouldn't touch a woman with breast implants. Shows extreme lack of self esteem, not to mention perspective and mental blindness. I also wouldn't worship with anyone who thinks Wicca is only about female and not also about male. Also, I wear clothes at night because it's cold at night, the Gods aren't stupid and know that.
Basically, come over here and say that, ya lousy Brit.

In my personal opinion, Gardenian witchcraft (the most popular sect at the moment, if I'm not mistaken, but please feel free to correct me) focuses too much on the Matriarchal side of religion and spirituality.
Isn't the idea of religion a balance between the physical and spiritual realms, and finding a way to bridge both in order to gain something more out of both? Focusing too much on the male/female aspects of both self and what is called "magick" seems to destroy the balance which you claim to thrive so much in.
Besides the ability to communicate theologies, I don't believe that technology has too much of a role in an earth based religion. To each his own, though.

How do you run World of Warcraft without the cd? Does a scrying program help do this?

Witchcraft is a religion for young socially inept angsty emo teens.
.....or for adults who are unable to devolop emotionally past this high school mind set.
------
The people who care the most about the survival and how widespread this religion becomes are the CEO's of Hot Topic, Marylin Manson records, and makers of Halloween make-up and costumes etc.
All religion is a joke, but this one nearly takes the cake.

Well that should be obvious. No one in this thread (including you) seems to know a thing about it.
Don't you know that the former High Elves no longer use that title? They're Blood Elves.

Ah shit, I mixed up WoW with TES IV AGAIN! Well, in any case I'm sure the OP is a Shaman level 31 or higher. We should heath his power.
