I had been planning on attending University in Inverness, Scotland next year - although the people in the exchange program at the institution have not been very forthcoming in getting back to me...Now I'm looking at studying in Limerick, Ireland - I'm coming from Canada by the way.
So here's my question. What would you recommend I do to prepare for living in either of these places? Any totse members from there? What should I do while I'm over there? I'd like to do some traveling around Europe - what would be the best way to do this on a students budget? Where should I get my food? Keep in mind I've never lived alone before and have only been to the U.K. (England) once. Am I in for culture shock or what...
To heck with limerick. Come to belfast. have a real party. Get set up with Queens University, or University of Ulster. Thats proper carry on.
You'd fit in well, just party party and have the time of your life!

ahaha I'm definitely going to Belfast for a little while at least - but yeah it's already June here so I'm pretty well set in where I'm going to go - no time to switch...but I DO plan on traveling quite a bit...

Limerick is alright..... Ireland's a small country so everywhere is within a days travel...Cork city is shit cool at the weekend as is Galway city... you'll have a ball... there's a few small area's in Limerich that are no go... but cause there's a big university there's plenty of hot chicks and night life

The University of Limerick is quite a good university. It is a little bit away from the city however. The surrounding area is great and Limerick is a nice town, poor as fuck though.
Inverness I don't know but my cousin lived there for years and loved it.
Take a parker coat, & learn to like fish & chips and Guiness.
