So my parents just announced that we're taking a 2 week trip to Turkey in July.

Basically, what i want to know, is have any of you guys been there? Whats it like?

What is the Legal Smoking and Drinking age, i'm 16, will this stop me from drinking and or smoking?

Also, are there a lot of markets, which sell stuff like cigs, fake designer clothes, cds, games etc?

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Yes there are markets which sell LOTS of bootleg gear. Beware of jewelry, but go mad on cheap clothes lol

You can get top quality hash, heroin and opium for dirt cheap in Turkey. The laws are really strict though so I'd be careful. Its a muslim country but its not like Afghanistan you can still get drunk there and not have any problems.

I've been in Istambul. Beautiful city. I think you will be able to drink and smoke with no problems. Turley is a very occidentalized country. Also there is a lot of security, entering a shopping mall or hotel is lke enteing an airport

I don't understand why anyone would even take the risk of buying heroïn or any other drug in a country like that. The chances you'll be caught are pretty slim.

But I'd rather go to hell than a turkish prison.

don't buy drugs in Turkey. It is a great place but the jails are crap and the police torture people.
