Are there places in the world that will put you through military training without having you enlist? I'm a martial arts buff and I'd love to learn Russian HTHC (Sambo, Systema, and the other one which I forget), I'd also like to learn Krav Manga. But more importantly I'd also like to be able to be trained to push my body to the limits, torture survival training, etc etc. Are there places that offer this or am I going to have to get a Russian citizenship, go to Russia and enlist?

Why do you want military training?

Have you joined a local martial arts or boxing gym and done any training?

Such places exist but they generally exist to bleed money for feeding peoples fantasies.

Pardon my spelling on Krav Maga, I wasn't paying attention. I want this training because it's hard, and painful, but character building.

I'm not sure about Canada, but in the US, there's something called LTC, which is for college students. It's for people who didn't do ROTC their freshmen or sophomore years but want to join it for their Junior and Senior years. It's basically a 6 (I think?) week crash course on all things military.

I'm 90% sure that there's no military obligation if you do that.

That shit looks badass, but it's expensive as fuck. Like 1500 for the SOF Academy.

Why would anyone waste their time with you if you're not ready to make a commitment?

If you're under 24 years old and can provide some documentation of being a Jew, you can enlist in the Israeli army for < 18 months.

As far as a grunt is concerned, there's not a whole lot about that job that can't be taught better by a good instructor of a civilian equivalent. I guess theres a whole training your mind to think a certain way, but I could say that the grunt way of thinking and following instructions is not optimized to maximize individual effectiveness.

These are the some of the big things a grunt needs to know, and good civilian counterpart skills

Rifle Marksmanship/ NRA type courses

Radio communication skills/ Amateur Radio

Battle Aid/ Emergency first responder or first aid classes

Land Nav/ Orienteering, Geocaching or something like that

Weapons employment/ ya got me there, nobody else can tell you that a claymore is "FRONT TOWARD ENEMY" or an AT-4 will have a lethal backblast zone

PT/ any rigorous physical fitness program

Indoctrination/ FOX news

Tactics/ ok you really got me. I would say a high speed airsoft team, but that would just be pathetic.

I hear Al Qaeda do some good summer camps in Pakistan.

You don't actually have to join Al Qaeda, just run round shouting "Allahu Akbar" a lot. I think it's more or less their version of "Ohh Rah!".

The Muay Thai camp I train at has a Sambo instructor for the Muay Thai fighters looking to get into MMA. Also, there are Krav Maga classes pretty much everywhere. There are websites that list all the places that teach Krav Maga depending on what state and county you live in. Krav Maga is sort of a staple for police officers over here in northern california. Every city here has at least one place that teaches it, at least 2 times a week, and for dirt cheap.

I'm no fan of Jewjitsu however. It just looks like a bunch of chaos and flailing to me. To me it looks like an art of desperation.
