Thats a team that would work, and win trophies. No point in packing a team full of flair and attackers when thers no-one building up attacks, or breaking down the opponents. Mascherano and Toure are both world class, as if that defence even needs protection, they're more there as a base, give the forward four more freedom to interchange and move about.

So much for your defender :rolleyes: Carlvalho? Such a dirty fuck! Ran over Messi in the 06 champions league and in this years CL he shouldve gotten a RED for that tackle against C. Ronaldo. Evra i havent seen too much of, but doesnt convince me much. Toure i would say needs more experience; shots are off a bit. Also, You talk about giving the 4 fowards freedom? Mascherano and Toure over Ribery? C. Ronaldo? Pirlo? Those are players that break defenses down, kid. Other than that i can respect your team. And of course your team would need no help in the back considering you've 6 defenders basically. I can see it now.....your team scores a goal and defends/waits for the counter attack ;)

PS: I dont follow Scottish football all that much, but to put Boruc over the likes of Cech, V.d. Sar or even Buffon....you must love Celtic, fanboy.

IF Mourinho could take Chelsea and change their name to Inter Milan, he would, hence why he has $100 MIL to spend and he plans to bring Lampard, Drogba, Essien and Carvalho. I, personally, dont think Carvalho is good, just that he has a good relationship with Mourinho ;)

Kaka, at the time of winnin the WPoY award did deserve to win it. He was a beast then. I just dont see it as acceptable that a player of his caliber falls from grace that quick. I see your point about Milan not being the team they were in 05 and therefore contributing to Kaka's fall, but what about Messi? Barcelona have not been doing crap for 2 seasons now and hes still a monster, as well as Bojan for the last season. What about Fabregas and V. Persie for Arsenal? Great players, fall-from-1st-place-team.

Now that i look at AC Milans squad, Pirlo is out there playing by himself in the middle. He's got no one to work with: Seedorf, Emerson, etc? I just dont see those players on his level.

As for Mascherano and Toure ahead of Ribery i can respect that. I guess you're more of a defensive type and im more offensive minded, and surely, Ribery is more skillful than Masch. and Toure. My opinion of course.

I guess the thing with football is, you could pick 5 different teams with 5 different groups of players that are amongst the best in the world and on any given day they would all beat each other. I mean if you look at the players I havn't selected: Buffon, Gerrard, Ribery, Villa, Essien, Drogba- then they would have a perfectly reasonable chance of beating my team. Thats why its the best game in the world kids, so many other people are playing it it is impossible to be the best in the world for an extended period fo time, and thats why when players do get to that status- Maradona, Pele etc, they are literally regarded as legends until the day they die.
