Well, a bit of a misnomer. I'll be in France for a month, part of a study abroad group from my school. I still need 3 credits to graduate, so this course will fill it up.

But after that's done, I'm thinking about visiting either one (or two) of these countries:

-Belgium
-Netherlands
-Germany
-Czech Republic

Those 4 are my primary countries. My "secondary possibilities" are:

-Hungary
-Great Britain
-Spain

I'll be departing from Paris to any one of these places, most likely by plane. If someone has an awesome case for Belgium and/or Holland, then I'll go by rail there.

I know a week isn't enough time to really grasp any type of local flare, but which country might provide the quickest burst of excitement for me when I'm there?

I don't mind going to clubs even though I'm not much of a club type; museums would be awesome, just as long as it's not the typical "Here's your masterpiece by Monet, enjoy..."; but most importantly, for me at least, which country has awesome food?

En dag, Fza. :)

French cuisine is excellent, and is only exceeded by the Chinese. (no not the shitty chinese restaurant on your corner but real quality Chinese food, it is by far the biggest cuisine and has the most variation)

On topic, Brussels is a good place to go, also close to Paris, there's a train that goes from Paris to Amsterdam (via Brussels).

That's 3 of the coolest cities in Europe. Sure there are other ones, but not in that close proximity.

If you like Museums, you're in luck, if I were you I'd look into some sort of pass that lets you into the Louvre for a few weeks. It's one of the biggest and best museums in the world. You'll have plenty of time to check it out too.
