Anyone use this? I'm currently using this to learn italian, it works pretty well, I've learned quite a bit in the two days I've had it. I got it for free off the pirate bay, I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I go to italy

I tried to however my French was far beyond what it was trying to teach me so i stopped. The Hebrew was a bit better but the grammer isn't explained so its not quite as good as Pimsleur.

Also, please don't mention torrent sites on totse.

Lol.

I used Rosetta Stone a while back for Japanese. It's good if you're only just starting, but you need to supplement it with other programs to learn how to actually read the language (although it wouldn't be such a problem for Italian).

Well, by the sheer amount of vocabulary it has, it certainly is very useful even when you're at an advanced level. Also, depending on the language, you may actually need to be near the intermediate level to really make comfortable use of the program. (ie. anything with grammar and vocabulary that deviates far from Romance languages).

Anyways, I think it's okay. The method can be rather boring, and i find that words often don't stay in your memory very well, despite the drilling. Still, it is very helpful when you want to familiarize yourself with various themes and improve vocabulary.

I prefer Pimsleur, as it's more practical.
