What you do is continue taking the pills/getting treatment. Leaving the army is going to help but probably not as much as you hope. Also leaving the army brings with it feelings of loss.

Further, you'll suddenly have to grow up and provide for yourself. The army wiped your arse for you (figuratively speaking...I hope) now you'll have the stress that is modern civilian life, finding work, paying rent, dealing with 'crats etc.

Leaving the army is a start but only a start, now you're going to have to get a life.
