Well, to tell you the truth i never liked watching Anime much and it always felt weird when i saw someone obsessing about Anime episodes.
But back then i was like "If i had nothing to download on the Internet i will start downloading Anime" Well from the beginning i liked watching cartoons, and frankly i wasn't obsessed about them in anyway but i did watch alot of cartoons on Cartoon Network. Now lets forward to much recent times 2006~2007. I started watching Aika mainly because it featured girls with exposed ahem ahem bodies. But after finishing 7 eps that was it.

Then one poster who would always use the word desu~ (Argonplasma2000) in some of his post really puzzled me. So i wiki'ed and found the Anime Death Note. But i still didn't make any move.
Due to some unknown reason i got a direct link to Death Note Series (220+ Mb Each Ep), so i downloaded the first ep but alas it didn't have subtitles or English dub.
I looked around everywhere even asked in #Anime but i couldn't find the subs. So i decided i will download it from another source (torrent), anyway i got lucky and after 2 eps i was fucking hooked. Mind you i was watching X-files and How I Met Your Mother as well. So it was pretty hectic for me.
After 8 Eps i decided to share the Anime with my Best friend and guess what he was hooked as well. I had no problem reading the subtitles so it wasn't difficult for me but my friend has some trouble. So we both decided to share the torrent and get the whole series downloaded ASAP. But due to some unfortunate events he couldn't download his share of download (ep 10~19) so right now i am downloading his part as well.
I got 1~14 and 20~37 the rest are on the queue. Hopefully i will finish the download soon and in two days MAX i will finish Death Note.

Now the problem was i started enjoying Anime so i couldn't stop there, i started downloading Hell Girl/Trigun mainly because they are in English but the real break came in the form of Naruto.

Mind you i can finish 80+ Eps easily in two weeks or more BUT 220 EPS! damn and also don't forget i don't have much download speed 30KB :(.
So right now i am on Ep 24 and i can tell you one thing i am fucking loving it.



I was wrong about Anime, its awesome and its really good.

I am happy to join the club of enlightened ones.

Thanks to Gay Internet i can't download Anime :( i got at least 40 GB of Anime out of my 30KB connection which is now barely 20KB :(, so i have decided to change my habits.

Since downloading Naruto or any other Anime is a pain in the butt, i will download Manga of that series first, in this case Naruto 1~400+ and then i will download the episodes one by one and watch them every week.

In this way i will be ahead of the Anime and wont be tempted to kill myself.

Why is it a surprise? In the japanese version, they pronounce it like "desu note", and I'm fairly sure I saw one or two subbed versions out there that spelled it like that. Naturally the geniuses at wikipedia decided to set that up to redirect to the only thing people would be looking for when they type that in. :D

EDIT: Or not... I just tried a few different searches on "desu," and while it did turn up death note, it was halfway through the page and didn't stand out in the slightest...
