Chapter 2

1: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3: And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
4: These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
5: And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

The whole book (http://etext.virginia.edu/toc/modeng/public/KjvGene.html)

I was thinking today about this book, and I was reading. It says these are the generations.... this implies that people were not here for ever, although it gives no other span of time...

Also God rested, and the week never repeated or continued.

I have a problem with this whole LORD God thing too, as opposed to God. Lord implies some sort of human quality, and the fact that god created man in his image seems total shit. God is not even really a being as he has no matter.

God is the why, but science is the How.

I think that the tree is a limit set by god, the beginning of a sort of moral ethical evolution, the point where humans came to a realization of right and wrong.

It seems as though nakedness isn't so much nudity in the flesh as a general vulnerability, as clothes would be a necessity even in the middle east where it gets cold. Nudity is like the ego sort of.

The evolution of consciousness isn't an exclusive to people, it is every living thing even plants. Not so much as a moving object but a survival thing.

Everything knows it is.

I won't even go on a bout Jesus.

But as far as God is concerned, You can use him to explain everything... Why Hitler didn't win, Why people have wars, lots more.

Religion is a set of beliefs held by one, and should not be sold or profited of, It should not be whored to the mass', or sold to one in their own domain.

Morals are part of survival, don't kill, don't steal, don't want things you don't have. They cover basic ideals to carry along the survival of a species. The problem is when the group uses them to help the group survive, and other groups have similar but different beliefs.

feel free to rebuttal or go more in to detail, I plan on writing a little more. But for now I have other things to attend to.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%201:14-19&version=9;

14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

That sums up Christianity as a whole right there from my observations.

The Old Testament starts to make sense when youy realize that it is essentially myth and metaphor. It is not to be taken literally.
