Let's look into the good/bad of 'sarcasm' and 'common sense'
Some questions: Do you consider sarcasm to be a lie? Y/N or maybe? Explain why.
When people pull 'common sense' are they referring to 'street smarts'; how the common people believe things ("folk psychology" is an example) or how things "should be done"
go ahead and add more stuff.

I generally don't see sarcasm as a lie, I try and make it obvious when I'm being sarcastic and anyone who can't pick up on it is a moron

That is a good question; many have a differing view on what is 'obvious'; some would rely on eye movement, some would help to use the body posture, some might 'pick up' based on the language used and fake/bullshit accents, etc.
Thank you for the response as well, vazilizaitsev89
"Common sense" is useless as a means of achieving truth. For example, common sense tells us that a pan of room temperature water will freeze more quickly than a pan of hot water when both are placed in a freezer. In fact, the opposite is true.

There are always exceptions: Common sense tells you if you place your hand on a hot pan, it'll burn your hand. If you place your hand on a cold one, it'll only be cold. No burn at all. The opposite of this isn't true, its false. Though I do see where you're coming from, I'm just instituting the fact that common sense isn't useless to achieve truth. It is used in everyone's everyday life, no matter what life style they live in.

Fair point, but in terms of philosophical truth, we shouldn't necessarily "trust our instincts". Definitely agree with you though. It's like how the Greeks showed that we can't trust our senses, because when you walk away from an object it appears to be growing smaller, but in truth it is staying the same size. But, if you think about it, this perspective is essential for your survival, and in that sense it gives you truth of a sort.

*Sigh* Poseur philosophers. How adorable. Sarcasm a lie? Well no. We know what sarcasm is when we see it, therefore our perception is what separates it from being a lie. There's your fucking evidence factor. Why don't you try asking a substantial question?

Not all people know that it's 'sarcasm' and on the internet it gets muddled up.
Sarcasm[A] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm#endnote_lead) is stating the opposite of an intended meaning especially in order to sneeringly, slyly, jest or mock a person, situation or thing. It is strongly associated with irony (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony), with some definitions classifying it as a type of verbal irony intended to insult or wound. Sarcasm can also be used in a humorous or jesting way depending on the intent of the person speaking.

If you don't catch their bullshit social crap they can call you an 'idiot' because you don't catch on their crap.
It can be considered a lie as it's intentionally deceiving
