View Full Version : What's so great about Thailand?
It seems like every second person I talk to is either in Thailand, has been to Thailand, is on their way back to Thailand, is saving up to go to Thailand, is trying to get a passport to go to Thailand, is working out how to forge documents so they can get to Thailand or is babbling on about how great Thailand is to whomever will listen.
So what's the big attraction? And is it really any better than the other sketchy asian countries?
Also don't they have draconian drug laws?
Thanks.

Recent International Labor Organization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Labor_Organization) research suggests a speculative figure of 12,000 children per year being trafficked for sexual exploitation in South East Asia, mostly to Thailand. Thai non-governmental organisations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-governmental_organisation) and the Thai government estimate that 30,000 to 40,000 prostitutes are under 18. 'Nuf said. ;)

Great weather (excluding the rainy season), beautiful beaches, everything is much cheaper there, prostitutes / easy Thai girls who hope that a rich American will take care of them if they put out, apparently a nice nightlife in certain cities.... there's a lot of reasons. Mainly, sun, girls, and the low cost of life.

Nothing to be winking over. It's absolutely fucking disgusting how these girls are forced into being prostitutes at a young age.
People like you only encourage it and make the problem worse.
