Alright, for years and years, I always talked about a backpacking trip, now it is come and I depart in 10 days my itinerary is:

Fly into Barcelona arrive July 8th

Spend time in Barcelona 8th, 9th, 10th

Take overnight train to San Sebastian

Spend 11th, 12th, 13th in San Sebastian

Take train on the 14th to Club Med Opio en Provence, in France

Spend 14th-19th in Club Med

Depart the 19th to Munich

19th-22nd in Munich

22nd Depart to Brussels

22nd - 24th in Brussels

24th - 27th in Brugges

27th - 31st in Amsterdam

1st of August - 3rd - Cork Ireland

3rd - 7th - Dublin

Then I head home


How's that for an itinerary?

Any advice I need or sights I should see before I go?

I hear a lot of crazy stories about pick pocketing in Barcelona, so just be mindful.

That sounds like a fun little trip. If you can, though, you should lengthen it a bit by cutting costs elsewhere; that would be more akin to the spirit of backpacking.

Nah, you've got a pretty good itinerary planned for the short amount of time you have :).

ed: I've heard Brussels really isn't terribly fun. Maybe cut that leg out and spend a bit more time in Germany or some cities in the Netherlands that aren't Amsterdam?
