Yeah, I keep hearing "he wants to play in Hollywood" (whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean) and he's probably getting a bit more money than he would have with Golden State. The whole thing seems kinda nuts to me. I'd say GS with Baron has about the same ceiling as LAC with Baron - Barely a playoff team. SO I dunno, maybe it is just a money/location thing. Oakland basketball fans must feel gutted right now.

Now that the shock of the news has sort of subsided, it'll be interesting to see if the bearded one can adapt to playing under Dunleavy's more structured style as opposed to Nellie's do-whatever-you-want style. And if I'm not mistaken, last year was the first in awhile that he hasn't been hurt for extended periods of time during his injury-prone career so if that problem comes back, the Clips will still suck.

As a Warriors fan I am fucking pissed. Baron is fucking awesome and left solely for the money. The Warriors weren't going to give him guaranteed money for more than 3 years because of his history of injury and not playing in a lot of games. It sucks, we can't catch a break. We didn't make the playoffs for 14 years and we only did that one year because of Baron. Granted it was awesome because we upset Dallas, but shit, two years after he just ups and leaves when everyone in the Bay Area loves him.

Oh well, on the bright side we now have $40 million to sign someone else. Good luck to Baron. I still like him and hope that giving him a 5 year contract won't bite the Clippers in the ass. Wait, I hate the Clippers so yes I do.

Didn't he get a 5 year, $65 million contract with the Clippers? I believe that's right, although I could be wrong.

That's right

Good riddance, I was tired of him and his balky back. The warriors would have come out winners if they had protected their cap space until 09. Now we're just fucked. There's no way maggettes career doesn't go down in flames in oakland.

And now Marcus Camby has gone to the Clippers. The Nuggets got a second round pick for him. Hm.

I suppose a core of Davis/Thornton/Kaman/Camby looks pretty good. Sorta iffy on whether or not they have a playoff team now.. Probably not. Good for them getting Camby so cheap, but he's no Elton. Sucks for them.

They just signed Kelenna Azubuike to an offer sheet that GSW most likely won't match, so another nice pickup I guess. They could've done worse this offseason, as they have in the past.

Woo! Warriors matched the offer and Azubuike is staying. Praise the lord!

Now we'll be mired in mediocrity for the next decade. Yay

Monta Ellis is now out until atleast December (probably into '09) with a high ankle sprain.

Motherfucking ouch. Is Marcus Williams now GS's starting point guard?

You can all but write of GS now. Not only will Ellis' scoring be missed, but Biedrins should be pretty useless on offense. If Baron wasn't setting him up, he got all his points picking and rolling with Monta. Lol at Biedrins/Al/Maggette/Jackson/Williams.
