The Pharmacratic Inquisition (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4555365073003895154)

This is a video which shows how many of the major religions of today began as beliefs based on astrotheology and ritual entheogen use, and the suppression of this knowledge from the people over the years, such as the witch hunts and lately as the "War on Drugs".

Hope you enjoy it.

Dude, 3 and a half hours?

Yeah, the first time I watched it was small clips at a time, over a couple of days.

If you do watch the whole thing ... man, they cover a lot of information.

I never knew how much Santa and Christmas traditions drew from Siberian Shamanism and the entheogenic use of the amanita muscaria mushroom.

Or how much mushroom symbology appears in religious art. Or the meanings connected to the Egyptian eye of Horus, and the third eye, and parts of the brain. And the caduceus.

Most of you know the "Jesus Story" isn't original to Christianity. It appears in many other religions, even in the Egyptian story of Horus. But do you know Jesus' stance (one leg on the other, wearing only a sash, arms raised, crowned head) is related to mushroom symbology? Or that Krishnas blue skin may be related to psilocybin mushrooms (which happen to grow in holy cow shit)?

And the horoscope ties in with it all too. Crazy.

Horoscopes - crazy, indeed.

What horoscope?

The Mazzaroth, those 12 astrological signs, leo, gemini, all that. They go into it.

They also mention the Earths wobble, and how it goes through the cycle backwards. One wobble takes something like 25,800 years. Divided by 12, you get 2150 years. These are where we get the 'Ages', like the Age of Pieces, or the Age of Aquarius.

Moses telling people to stop worshiping the bull is a representation of the end of the age of Taurus and the beginning of Aries(rams horns). Jesus represents Pieces(two fish), and like Arms says, we are entering Aquarius right now.

edit - zodiac, thats the word I was looking for.

That's strange, as it seems as though they went backwards on the zodiac. Aries typically comes before Taurus.

But they are bad ass, those Rams. My favorite. <3

Well yes, I said they went though it backwards.

Its because the Earth's wobble turns in the opposite direction of the Earths rotation.

Leo is my favorite because thats me.

Anyone ever wonder what the fuck Easter Sunday is all about? What rabbits and eggs have to do with Christianity?

Wonder why we send our children out on egg hunts?

Or have you ever wondered about why we get married? Unification of the sexes?

The hare was a fertility symbol in pre-Christian Europe, along with its eggs. The holiday of Easter predates Christianity and was a springtime fertility festival. It was named after the goddess Eostre, or Ostara.

Tax and estate purposes, surely.

What's the #1 cause of divorce in America? Marriage. :D

On that topic, I think many younger people are too caught up with wanting to be in love, instead of letting it happen. And as you pointed out, marriage no longer means what it used to.

Or maybe its only meant that for the lucky ones.

I don't know, but I was born on Easter sunday (at dawn, to boot), so there must be some metaphysical connection.

Anytime you have sex with someone, you are married to them. The flesh becomes one,

For more on the Precession of the equinoxes, the mill of pain, the pyramids, etc etc, please read Fingerprints of the Gods. I have it on e-book if anyone would like.

In the first part of the movie, Zeitgeist, it talks about that. It also shows all the similarities between the story of Jesus and other religious figures like Horus. Pretty interesting, however the 2nd and 3rd parts are about conspiracies. You can find it at zeitgeistmovie.com if anyone's interested. But anyways, that movie looks pretty interesting, I'll have to watch it. I've always wondered about how people used to feel about "drugs" in the times of Jesus. But I read somewhere that pagan priests (?) used to slip their followers drugs and would try to convince them that they were doing it or whatever. Interesting stuff.

Apparently 'pagan' used to just refer to "people of the country".

In Siberia for example, a communities shaman would gather entheogens (like Amanita muscaria) to hand out to everyone during solstice celebrations. Then everyone would have spiritual experiences.

Man, theres a lot of sexual symbology too. The male and female portions of reality. The mushroom was also used to symbolize the hermaphrodite, or the unification of the sexes ... as was marriage.
