A video about vaporizing ethanol with CO2.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=GPsSTOMgwRw&feature=related

Watch that, its from another thread in BLTC.

My question is would it work with diethyl ether instead of ethanol?

Simple answer, no.

But since you don't like me, try it.

To get diethyl ether straight into your bloodstream?

Huffing it as is pretty much already does that, also intravenous recently posted a trip report of his experience IV'ing it.

Could someone actually give me an answer?

I find it less likely, the bit that mattered in that vid was when they explained the idea that CO2 is non polar, and ethanol is essentially polar. Mostly polar at least. Diethyl Ether on the other hand, is, as far as I know, mostly non polar.

Another thing that is not quite on your side is that diethyl ether has an apparent polarity index of 2.8, compared to ethanols 5.2. Compare this to waters 9.0 though, and I suppose you are still just within a chance.

Is that inhaling alcohol thing true or a hoax? I thought they were just getting people to huff (uncomfortably tingly) CO2 gas.
