What are you doing to prepare? Prep classes? Books?
Taken any practice tests? How did you score?

I took a prep course offered by my university. Found it to be for the most part useless. Did not offer much more than basic test taking strategies (eat breakfast, get a good night’s sleep, et al). I have taken one practice test—cold, without having prepared or even researched what kind of material appears on the test—and scored a 155. I’m looking to build on that. I have purchased the Princeton Review’s Cracking the LSAT 2008 Edition and will be working though it during what is left of this summer. I am hoping that raising my score aprox ten points, above a 165, is a doable goal.

Does anyone have any advice to offer? Are there any good LSAT prep videos available on youtube or elsewhere on the internet? Also, a piece of advice: I found at my local library a book containing ten previous LSATs. Check your library for this book. Most outfits charge an arm and a leg for past LSATs. This is a good way to get your hands on plenty. Cheep.

I took the Feb 2nd LSAT and got a 149....a good score, but I want better. I had been in a car wreck the night before the test, so that didn't help much.

I'm taking it again in October. I bought Princton Reviews LSAT 2008 book, and checked out Kaplans and Barrons at my University library. I also bought a McGraw-Hill LSAT Logic Games book, which is ass. Stick to Kaplan.

Also, buy the LSAT Logic Games Bible, it will help more than you can imagine.

See you in Law School.

The logic games are my weakest area. That part of the test tore me up. I have found that I am strongest in reading comprehension.

I am able to—for the most part—consistently answer the argument questions currently. Unfortunately though, not quickly enough. Finishing that portion of the test in the time allotted is going to be a challenge for me.

I would. That is, if one can consider me a noob. I posted here frequently during my sophomore year of high school (2003-2004, I am now going into my senior year of college). The username I posed under was the same username I used for my aim, yahoo, hotmail, myspace, ect. This was an unwise on my part. By typing my username into a search engine acquaintances of mine were able to find posts I had made on Totse. Posts I was not proud of. I stopped posting on Totse and disassociated myself with that username in order to distance myself from some of the comments I had made.

I was an irresponsible kid back then. Luckily, I was smart enough to know that I would not want things I had posted on the internet at 16 to be able to find me—or be found by others—at 21. I have lurked on Totse from 2004 until now. Usually only visiting about once a week (but sometimes not for a few months) just to peek in on SG or Bad Ideas for some laughs. I saw today registration was open and decided—perhaps against my better judgment—to make a new account.

Sorry for the epic, yeah, I’ll be your noob :)

You technically don't need to be, you were here before. But if you want anyway, change location to: "Adopted by Vampire Archimiel", and I'll do likewise.
