I've recently aquired a motorola desktrac base/repeater unit and some telephone modems. What can i do with these?

It all depends on what the model numbers are. You'll also need the appropriate RSS to program the unit.

The remote units you have are called "Tone Remotes" (or can be DC/wire line)

They act as remote controls for the Desktrac. They will, however, only do basic functions such as PTT, MON and if they are "fancy", channel up/down.
