So a few months back me and my friend received tickets for not wearing seatbelts. I haven't yet payed the tickets due to my lack of money. We're both under eighteen by a year or so, does anyone have experience in not paying tickets? it was only two twenty six dollar ones, so im hoping theyll just ignore it. Any advice is appreciated

Once the ticket is written your are already in the system. Did you get this ticket in the state you reside in? Did you get anything in the mail from the DMV? Chances are your licenses is suspended already, and if it isn't than it is just a matter of time.

They wont. They'll be on file in their computer databases, which means you can't escape them by moving to another state.

I had a ticket that I never paid...I got it in a county I have never lived in, and a year later I got a letter (at my new address that isn't on file with the DPS) saying they were going to put out a warrant if I didn't pay. And when you go to renew your license, they won't let you. They don't forget about that shit...they want their money. Even if it is only $26.

Dude, always pay tickets on time. In many countries they will send you a reminder first. Then they will add a certain fine over the fine for not paying on time. After that its up to the judge to decide what happens next.

I got two I havent payed off from underage consumption. They won't file a warrent, I just can't get my DL back til I pay them, and then a 40 dollar fee at the DMV
