Just an observation I've made lately (well, months ago to be honest) but it seems that everyone is wearing the same kinda shit when they go out for a night. You know, weekend wear. Now, everyone tries to dress a little nicer, pull out a nice top, or some decent jackets etc, so you look a bit swish. However, everyone (I'm in England) if you go out in the town seems to wear:
Shirt - More often than not white with a pattern, or ergh, a light pink/pastel color.
Dress pants or "desginer" jeans, the ones that you can tell cost a lot. Stupid prefade on them etc.
Diamond stud earings are popular although personaly I think they make you look likea fag.
Leather belt with large, designed buckle.
Shoes.
Now, don't get me wrong. A combination of some of the above items does look very smart. It's clean cut, etc. Thing is, with EVERYONE wearing the same kinda stuff it's horrifying. The type of people wearing this stuff cheapens it too. I don't want to be 1) wearing the same thing as everyone in the room and; 2) wearing the same thing as these loud-mouthed degenerates.
So, here's the dilema!
What can I/you wear out for an evening that still looks "good" but doesnn't leave you looking like everyone else? Oviously wearing something too out there just draws attention. Living in an area/country where most people are cavemen this is nmot a good idea, as you'll just get abuse. Leery comments etc. It's never really bothered me so much, just wondering what else there is to wear, and if you guys have encountered the same thing at all? What do you wear out?

If you wanna look like everybody else in the club, go for this.
Somebody people totally overlook for clubbing etc is polos. They are <3. I usually throw on a couple of creamcoloured pants, a black polo/shirt and sneaks. Works okay.
Blazers is overdressing as hell, and it gets hot.

Emporio.
As for the dude saying to look like everyone else, that would be the case if I had mentioned primark anywhere; pretty much everyone in my area wears shirts from primark to go out in.
Polos are nice as well though.
One thing I hate on people when they go out clubbing is shiny suits/trousers/shirts, they just look stupid.

Just grab a pair of black shoes, a pair of nice blue jeans, a t-shirt with a dark buttoned up long sleeve shirt, a leather jacket and fix your hair up..... Or a pair of jeans, a nice t-shirt, a black suit jacket, and some nice black shoes, with your hair fixed up.....If you wanna wear a hat grab a kangol hat...They're cool yet classy and chicks seem to love'em...and get some CoolWater Cologne
PS- when i say shoes i don't mean dress shoes...just some fuckin regular sneakers (fuck i haven't said the word sneakers in years, i don't even think i ever typed it)
Usually;
Topman shirt.
K-Swiss shoes.
Brown leather belt.
Snug fitting jeans.
:D

The clubs I go to, don't allow jeans.
Most of them cater to an older crowd.

This thread is full of faggotry...However, I will contribute.
I used to get chicks in cheapo clothes (I was on the dole at the time unfortunately. Worst 8 months ever!)
A pair of blue jeans from Tesco...A black short sleeve shirt from Matalan and a pair of boots I got from Barking Market!
Jeans, I like. None of this tight fit, stone washed, boot cut bullshit...Go buy a pair from Tesco for £4...They fit and they last!
Steel toe-cap boots from Barking Market...Cost you a score...No worries there coz they will last!
Shirt...For me it was the black thing and the short sleeve thing...Gotta show off the tats!
But above all, it's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.
I was nicking birds from guys in Armani this, Ben Sherman that with ease using personality and knowing I look damn good! Match your clobber up well and you're set mate.
Now days I wear pretty much the same thing even though I could go get stupidly expensive shit...I ain't on the pull anymore but I always get the ladies talking to me. Even in a pair of jeans and a Metallica shirt!

What's with all the people in here who associate designer labels with style. It's as if if it isn't Prada, Armani or Versace, it isn't worth wearing. Personally, I tend to shy away from anything with a logo on it. I don't have anything against expensive clothes, but with a lot of the afore-mentioned stuff, you're just paying for the brand. (And Armani t-shirts are sooo tacky)

You've probably never seen a real armani/prada/versace t-shirt if you saw a logo on them.
I've yet to see a prada shirt with a logo on it.
The only armani that has logos is jeans and exchange.
Versace jeans couture has logos but the upper brands do not.

same as above, chances are if its got an obvious logo from a high end brand either either A.Fake or B. Came free with some aftershave, plus the really high end stuff such as brioni suits wont have any visble logo except for on the inside.

Just an observation I've made lately (well, months ago to be honest) but it seems that everyone is wearing the same kinda shit when they go out for a night. You know, weekend wear.
What do you wear out?
wow, i wear neon UFO pants some neon shirt, leave my hair looking kinda scene and get all teh glowsticks out on the weekends... It is totally different from what I usually wear (skinny jeans, band t-shirt, sideways studded belt, scene hair, and mah fallens)
EDIT: then again most weekends I'm not at the average night club

why thank you, could you tell me which are better?
Well dude... almost anything. I mean if you are one that is explicitly defined by a scene, even if it is just clothing choice wise (and note that I am not saying this is a bad thing) then you would be far better off choosing something a little more unique and contemporary than 'raver' and 'scene'.
I suppose you want a list to choose from? Okay.
60's Underground Garage Revival
New York Hipster/LA Hipster
Yacht Rock
New New Wave
Old (and I mean old) School Skater/80's California
The London Look
Mix bit from all of those.
I don't know.
Don't you feel like your style at the moment is played out? I mean you may like the Rave culture for the pills and the dancing but you can get this elsewhere without the faggotry, essential fallacy and diminishing (ecstasy magic) returns that the scene entails.
The scene look has some solid elements. Tight jeans? Pure Rock and Roll there. Keep them. Band shirts? Good, but make sure they are good bands or original vintage t shirts. Stressed out collars are cool. Studded belt on an angle? Drop that shit. Get a good old brown leather belt with a little bit of extra length. Scene hair? K. Fallens? What the fuck are these? Some kind of upgraded black skate shoe I'm thinking... Get some leather shoes or some plimsolls.
Do what makes you happy in the end I guess. Other people can only help.
Shit I just realised you're probably 15-17 and are just sorting you shit our for yourself/Finding something that suits you. That's cool. Just remember this post in a couple of years when you look back on your old ways in disgust.

i was being somewhat sarcastic when I asked about which are better. though I am not really a raver... I just go there roll E and get a light show here and there, and besides around my area the raves are getting scarcer and scarcer.
