I presume some of the people in this forum are soldiers. How many of you served and where abouts? I was wondering what you guys thought of the situation in Iraq - not as a political discussion but so that I can try and understand how the war is seen by those who are closest to it..

Has anyone here been deployed to the Middle East?

I'm actualy on R & R right now. I just did six months....I'm home for two weeks and I'm going back for another six. Iraq sucks. I hate every minute of it. But then again I hate my job...and everyone around me and being around them 24/7. But I'd do it all over again just for the pay.

I've done two tours in Iraq, and quite frankly....
it's a shithole. George W. Bush is fucking retarded. And the soldiers who they interview who are all supportive of it, are rednecks for the most part.
