I've started taking german classes.
Are there any tips for learning it? (besides the paying attention to the articles)

The main thing is to learn the genders of everything. That's the best advice I can give you.

When you get into subjects, direct objects, and indirect objects, identifying the articles that correspond with each individual part of speech (such as Der, Den, and Dem) will help you understand and form those types of sentences more quickly. You can also switch around any of the objects and retain the same meaning if the articles do not change. Also, read alot of German novels. :)

-I am viewing the dativ, akkusativ, etc; and they're a little complicated to get at first. I'll review them later.

Anything on sentence structuring?

I get one german channel. The news gal is hot.

Remember time, manner, place for sentence structuring. The verb is always in the second position.

Yes, german chicks are damn fine.

nominativ (wer? / who?)
genitiv (wessen? / whose?)
dativ (wem? / whom?)
akkusativ (wen? / whom?)

talking about this gal (http://images.google.de/images?um=1&hl=de&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Ade%3Aofficial&q=Judith+Raker+tagesschau&btnG=Bilder-Suche)?

If you don't know any German I would recommend practicing your accent. Listen to German music/tv; there is nothing worse than speaking German with a yank accent.
The language will come in time, spend just as much time on how you speak.

Don't translate words in your head as muc has you can, try to make a direct link between word and image. This is how we learned english as a child, you were shown an apple and told it was an apple.

So, in german, see an apfel, and call it apfel. Try not to think Image -> Apple -> Apfel, try Image -> Apfel.
