Werd yo, I gots my hemp string stuff and now need to figure out how to fashion the stuff into something stylish and classy.

In this particular knot, the middle threads never move. You can put beads up the two center pieces and tie the knots around them. This is what I always used when making hemp stuff.

However, good quality hemp makes a HUGE difference to how long your piece will last. If you get cheap shit at the chain stores, it only take a few times of getting it wet and it will fall apart. The good stuff can last no joke, 10 times longer. So it's better to go to a little shop and put down the extra money. Most likely they'll have some really cool glass beads there AND you'll be supporting local artists which is always a good thing.

I bough 9 meters or.. yards or something, I dunno. How long would each of those different colored strings need to be to start out? Don't wanna cut this shit and find out it's too short/long.

The two middle strings should be roughly the same length you want the entire piece to be. The two outer strings, I cut about double since you're practically doubling them over the two middle ones.

9 meters is a lot of room for error.
