At times, and at seemingly random moments, I get a feeling as though I'm waking up. I really don't know how to explain it. It's like for a few seconds I become entirely disassociated and can see everything and understand everything for how it is but then I just snap back.

Does anyone else have this, can anyone explain it in anyone?

Figured someone here should be able to relate

Moments of clarity? I don't think there's a term for this type of thing, but I've had them before, usually in that window between a very deep/dreamy sleep, and waking.

Something to do with REM sleep maybe?

Sometimes it is hard to talk about this sort of thing without sounding like a blithering idiot, but I'll try. "Waking up" is another term for enlightenment. Everyone--except, perhaps, for the irrevocably third-eye blind--has had moments when we no longer see as through a glass darkly, when the veil of maya has parted. This is a place where saints and spiritual masters live most of the time.

Cherish those moments.

Iam not trying to be a troll but this would happen to me at random times when i was using cocaine.
clearly drug induced, but it was pretty cool ,for a brief moment or two everything made sense.

Back when I used to smoke weed I would toke up, and within five minutes I would hear the voice of God telling me what the moral of this "high" would be, sorta like a Grimm's Fairy tale. Now I've noticed the same phenomenom after I meditate.

No offence taken, when I wrote the OP I was thinking it could be drug use. I've been sober for almost 2 and a half months though, but you never know?

Thanks for the replies everyone, glad to see I'm not going absolutely crazy.
