Schools in Colorado do not give a fuck about smoking I know. University of Maryland was ranked like #3 counter culture school (which means smoking) by high times and is actually a good school.

Fuck that. UMD is a total party school, yeah, but I don't think it's a "counter culture" school. At least not in the same way as Bard or Reed is. Any party school has a lot of drugs on campus, but it's not necessarily "hippie."

Reed. MASSIVE psychedelic scene (at least relative to the amount of students there are), and nobody cares about you using drugs as long as you don't hurt anybody. It's a very elite college though, so you'll have to be VERY intelligent to get in, and several drug users both here and on other forums have told me that they didn't have time to exploit the loose drug policy because of all the work they were doing. I would have gone had I known that you're supposed to apply to more than one school. :(:mad:

anywho, west virginia university is one of the biggest party schools in the nation and they always have a shit load of drugs going through there. plus All Good is only a half hour away.

University of Michigan - excellent academics, lots of potheads. It's #4 on High Times' list of the top 10 cannabis colleges. Home of the annual Ann Arbor Hash Bash. You probably won't get accepted, though.

i heard new college of Florida was full of homo's but homo's do smoke a lot of grass. i went to bard once when i was going to college in NY and there was pot every where! I know friends who went to both UC Boulder and University of Vermont. one said Boulder was full of assholes. and they ended up transferring. the weed at UVM i was told is quite Phenomenal

WVU voted number 1 party school in the nation last year. Dunno if we got it again lol

In Canada, go to one of the Rocky Mountain College campuses or any school in Nanaimo.

Warren Wilson College. right outside of asheville, nc. very lax drug policy (so long as you're only using). it received the number one spot in the princeton review "reefer madness" category a few years ago (though i'm not sure it deserved it). app state ive never had any experience with, but boone is a lot like asheville in terms of college town atmosphere.

I can't believe University of California Berkeley hasn't been mentioned yet... The most beautiful campus on the west coast, full of old buildings and redwoods. VERY good school but high expectations. I suggest going to this school if you have the choice but don't waist your money. Go to junior college and transfer.

UVM is definitely up there. There's also a ridiculous amount of drinking, but the academics are still good.

I'm up in St. Pete, going to USF next semester (community college fucked me again so I've gotta sit in there for another semester) but let me tell you guys, I have found NO stoners at USF.

EDIT: And at Eckerd college it's an honorable mention on the counterculture schools from high times. I wouldn't know so much about there, I live right by it and know a few people that go there but it's a private school. I think the high times thing is fucked up...
