After my gap year I want to do univercity, and I would like to do it in New York if possible. I live in Australia and thusfar I can not get any info on how I would go about studying abroad, but thousands of people must do it every year so it cant be to hard. I understand I would probably have to do at least a year in australia, but would a New York univercity be a viable option at any stage?

If you want to complete your degree in the USA you should start it there, as most Aussie unis only (generally) allow like kinda 1year sorta things, as in you have to come back to australia to finish your degree.

What info are you looking for? As in money, courses, universities, living?

Do you have US citizenship??

Yeah, if you want to actually spend 4 years and graduate from a university in New York then you have to apply to it straight up. If you just want to do the year study abroad, no problem. Basically every university has abroad programs...you just have to qualify.

Unfortunatly cash is a factor, and my potential enter is probably going to be average so I dont know how I could pay for univercity or get a scholarship. Do you have to be a US citizen to get some kind of loan?

well then forget it. Universities overseas only want students that get like 90 or above for their enter score, unless of course you're willining to go to a sub-par university and do a sub-par course.

1) New York is overrated.
2) It is expensive as hell.
3) Don't you have free tuition in Aus? Why the fuck would you pass that up?
4) Fail.
