Hey guys, well i'm looking for some new ways to defend my car from thieves - And I have an idea to hook up soem sort of gas to my alarm, so when its triggered, gas is dispensed.

It needs to be a non-lethal gas (Like mase or bear-spray I suppose), but also has to be able to NOT stain/create a huge mess. I'd much rather replace stolen audio equipment and entire new interior.

Is there anything you guys could suggest I use?

It was actually 4 propane bottles connected to a valve under the seat.

Butyric acid doesn't smell that bad ;). The esters of it smell even better!

Easiest way I can see is to have a simple solenoid-operated valve switching OC foggers, say, from around the weatherproofing strip alongside the top of the doors. Hook them up to a simple circuit pulling a little juice off the car batt, when the link is broken (say, a door opened/glass smashed/etc) the coil de-energises, solenoid disengages, releases the pin or catch on the foggers. Pssssht!

Okay, if you actually find a good gas to use and really do it, POST PICS OMG. That would be amazing and maybe a good text file as a DIY.

Ummmmm wouldn't all you really need is a visible gas/smoke and a slight odour. Maybe a prank shop/ commercial smoke bomb and a prank shop stink bomb.
I've never broke into a car but I know if I did and a cloud of scented smoke came out I'd get the fuck out before I started to think is this toxic?

You don't need to incapacitate, just scare and screw with the mind.
