Any support for changes to the forum title, and/or header? I have mildly disliked the original title forever--it is lengthy, contentious, and scatalogical. I would prefer a simple "Oh my God!" This is short, descriptive, and ambiguous.

Far as the header goes, I would change "required" to "helpful" in the Keeping your sense of humor part. I would also klike to see the "theological paradoxes" sentance deleted--that sort of thing was big with medieval theologians, but it seems increasing irrelevant to the Aquarian Age. besides, what we usually get is something like "Culd God make a burito so big He coudln't eat it?" (sic)

Nah, leave it the way it is. I enjoy telling my fellow Christian friends about this forum where I get spiritual advice, because they will ask me where I get my info from and I can say "My God can Beat the Shit out of your God"

The title of the forum is great. The spirit of this forum is great. People know when you come here you put on your gloves and step in the ring of theological debate. This is not a place where people get to come and preach their nonsense, without someone saying "Hey, that is nonsense." I am sure there exist a plethora of forums on the net where people can go and share testimonials, and preach to one another, and try to all grow spiritually together from it.

This is not one of those places. This is a place for free, open and honest debate, and the name as it is, sets the pace for just that.

The title is funny. Leave it how it is, or come up with something way better than "oh my god." That's awful.

I am viewed as blood-hungry because I don't like someone dictatorially, sly trying to censor public debate, squat open critique, and impose a single viewpoint on an entire forum, no matter how apparently peaceful that someone's viewpoint may be? Because that has essentially been my beef with ArmsMerchant from the moment he was moderated in My God, and that is precisely what my beef is in this discussion.

I think the current forum title is best left unchanged.

What exactly is meant by keeping your sense of humor? The way I see it, its saying humor either has to be the intent of ALL threads, or humor must be kept under control...idk

Humor is subjective anyways. Maybe alter it so reads "... all spiritual viewpoints and criticisms", instead of just religious ones.

Some of the most religious and least spiritual people--the Puritans spring to mind--are notorious for being humorless.

I strive to walk the line (and fail at times) between taking my job and the subject seriously, w/o taking MYSELF too seriously.

To be honest, I think a change in title would be good (although it seems I am the only one who agrees with you). Frankly, even if you don't care that the forum title is an angry dividing one, it is still long and clunky.
