Was there last week and would recommend it greatly. It was a very cheap stay and there was lots to do and see such as the KL tower look out and the hotels are very good.
This is how cheap things were there. On television before Pauls Warehouse (shoe shop for the non australians or people who dont know what it is) was advertising Vans shoes for $50, in Kuala Lumpur, I got a genuine pair for $13.
If you arn't into the malaysian food, in Kuala Lumpur there are a lot of western food places at incredibly small prices, e.g we bought 3 large kfc x meals and 3 large fries for $12 when one meal would be around $9-$10 ?? More common things like food etc, I noticed was about a third of the price it was here (Australia) in general.
