So, other than the college, what is in Columbus? I'll be half-moving there, as in I will be staying in Georgia to go to college and going there 9-10 times a year. Staying from 2-30 days there at a time. How cold does it get, how hot, ect..

i don't understand. you got a girlfriend going to ohio state or something, and you're going to go up and visit her a lot? how can you stay in columbus so long when you've got school in georgia?
well i go to ohio state myself, and let me tell you columbus can have some rather extreme weather temperature-wise. it'll be 90 fucking degrees in the summer and fall, and 5 degrees in the winter. and i'm not exaggerating. it stayed in the 90s until november with no real breeze and just about drove me insane because my dorm had no air conditioning and we were up on the 10th floor. and yeah, we get snow, but usually only one or two big snow storms a year that would make it a problem driving and whatnot, if that.
as far as things to do...hmm...haha. columbus itself is kind of dead, like if you go downtown, there's not much there. having OSU brings in a lot of concerts to the various music venues, newport, lifestyle pavillion, the soccer stadium, and the arena. of course there's football and basketball games, but good luck getting tickets. you can, but you might be paying scalpers a bit much for them. then there's just the blue jackets (hockey) and the columbus crew (soccer) in terms of professional sports teams.
stuff happens on campus all the time for students, when i'm bored i'll just check on what's going on that the school has planned, but i don't know about someone who isn't a student. obviously there are a lot of house parties and frat parties and shit, but that's only useful to you if you know someone who's in. make friends with a hot preppy chick who has no problems going to those if you like that sort of thing, hah.
in short, there's not much in columbus off campus.
