In today's world, the biggest threat isn't terrorist or mobsters, but our own government.

It is in the best interest of every citizen to know as much about the laws that bind this government together as they possible can.

As such, what are some resources to learn as much about the law as you possible can? (for free of course)

I haven't had much of an opportunity to explore the site, but it has offered some useful information from time to time:

For national things, the Legal Information Institute at Cornell is good.

For state laws, each state legislature's official site usually has a list of the laws. A good way to find this information is to google: "(your state) code" (i.e., "Minnesota code").

Local (municipal or county) laws might be available online, but they could be anywhere. Look around for them.
