Ft. Benning is the "hardest" place to do basic I heard.
60/120's in full battle rattle doesn't sound too fun.
I did basic at Ft. leanord wood, it wasn't that bad at all. Don't be a shitbag.
I was gonna go to Fort Leonard Wood first but I failed my drug test and decided not to become a 21B. Instead I chose to become a 11B so Im going there. I heard Ft LB isnt that bad though.

I went to Basic Twice
Ft Jackson When I was MI, when I got reclassed to 11B I went again.
There was no difference at all except the extra week
It isn't bad. I will assume that you are going to be 11B. 30th AG Sucks!!!! It is the most depressing place on the face of the planet. On the wall above the phones is scrawled "Canto 3". It is no joke. Once you get through 30th AG everything is easy.
30th AG is filled with a bunch of POuGes who like pushing around recurits. POuGes should have to stand at parade rest for all infantry, even trainees.

I just graduated from a BCT cycle (i.e. 9 wk pogue cycle) at Ft Benning today. I didn't enlist to be an 11B hardass. I just want to work with computers. Nonetheless I got fucking crazy 11B drill sergeants. Worst 10 weeks of my life.
No 60/120's in full battle rattle, but plenty of low crawling, "too slow, go back", and "FRONT LEANING REST POSITION... MOVE!" in that shit. I hope to never wear an IBA again. Days with ranges were real fun too. I remember 50 cal range. We were hurried through chow to make the 0730 trans, waited 2 hours for range cadre, used 1 hr for our whole company to shoot, then back to our bays by ~1300 where it was 'barracks maintenance; clean your rifles' until 2100. That was pretty typical of white phase.
Oh well, driving over to Ft Gordon for AIT tomorrow.
Try not to ship in the early summer. You'll be stuck with a bunch of 17 year old split-ops. Some of the most annoying people on earth.
Go to the Jewish services on Sundays. The service itself is pretty cool, you get frontloaded for breakfast chow, you get bagels and sweets afterwards, and the whole thing lasts 2 hrs (all other services are 1 hr.)
It's 100% correct about 30th AG. Fucking horrible. BCT sucked really hard, but 30th was worse, which says a lot.

The best thing ever exists at Benning...
Right across from the Airborne barracks there is a Subway/sports bar. They only serve beer there, but still.

These little basic training stories are soooo cute!
The Army is churning out more pussies than ever. But you'll still go to your unit and have a dick fight with other cherries about who had it worse in basic.
Stress card, bitch!
But yes, Ft. . Benning and the surrounding area does indeed suck.

I thought that stress card thing was a myth.
Stories about how hard basic was are usually just a wank, but the funny basic training stories can be pretty good.

Just remember, no matter what you went through at Basic, it was 20 times tougher 5 years ago. And 5 years before that...

Hang in there man. I did Knox as well; there wasn't too much to write home about. If you're in the same shithole barracks that I stayed at, then enjoy the giant tarmac drill pad outside. It's great during the summer, too :/
Hahahaha Im back from BCT and AIT and cant help but laugh from the post I originally made. Ft benning sucked. 30th AG did suck balls and white phase and red phase had no difference. Im currently headed to Ft Lewis the 11th and will likely deploy in March or early April.

So true as far as the guys I talked to that went through before I did. When I went through at Benning as 11B it sucked pretty bad but not anywhere near what I was expecting. I personally was a little disapointed at how pussified BCT and shit is. I can say that compared to my buddy who went through at same time as 31B at lostinwoods I had it a lot harder. They got cell phones and weekend passes EVERY weekend as soon as they hit AIT, got cots and tents when out on FTXs, got to drive humvees instead of humping it and many other shit that I never even could dream of having.
The stress card thing is a complete myth, as far as I know. I know we never had any thing like a stress card. Although in the EO meeting first week of actual BCT they told us if a drill sergeant swearing offends us to let them know and they will stop, and this fat faggot decided he didn't like how one DS said God damnit and told the DS....... the drill sergeant smoked him and told him that "he better shut his fucking mouth because he fucking been to fucking iraq fucking god damn twice and he deserved the god damn fucking right to say what ever the god damn fucking fuck he wanted to". Funniest shit ever, but no stress cards.
