I was watching this documentary about how in the few years after the supposed Roswell UFO crash the Military and certain companies developed a shit load of new technology. The guy in the documentary, Philip Corso, claims we got these new technologies from reverse engineering items found in the UFO wreckage. He also says parts of Alien bodies, found in the wreckage, where examined and used too.

The things he claims we have developed from this alien ship are fibre optic cables(Or at least the technology to make the light travelling in the cables turn corners), microchips and circuit boards, laser beams that can be used to cut metal, Kevlar and Night Vision goggles(He says the NVG came from the aliens themselves, claiming they had an extra eye lid that would presumably allow them to see in the dark). There's more, but I can't remember it all.

So what's the story with this Corso chap? I know he was in the Army, and earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, but has he been proven a fraud or a nutcase yet?

It's not "real proof" as in ET's used sweatband, but you'd hope Edgar Mitchell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQbEv0_6o_s) would be held in higher regard than some shit-kicking redneck.
