no not for me.

my GF has had it with her home life(long story) and doesnt wanna go home for a week or 2. she called the local police station and they conformed that what we had through previously was true and that is. 1. all they can do is it sher is called in running away they can cuff her and take her home. 2. they cannot force her to stay there. and she can run again and same thing over and over

my questions were what are the laws about her staying at my or anothers friends house, both with and with out parental knowledge that she is staying and "ran away" from home

if any of it matters im 17 and shes 17 and we live in NC

As far as North Carolina law goes, if you let her stay at your house while she is a minor, you can and probably will be charged with *Contributing to the delinquency of a minor*.

This very thing happened to me when I was your age, and the girls parents charged me with this very crime, all because she said she was being abused by her parents, so I let her stay at my house. Luckily, the charges were dropped, but be warned, that this could happen.
