Greek mythology lives today. Ever been to the movies and admired those awsome characters like Luke Skywalker or Hellboy? It's like going to a temple and paying tithes to hear the story of the gods.

The practice of taking myths literally leads to fanatic religous bigots. That however is the extreme. Persecution of the Hypocrite also breeds fanatic religous bigots.

Ever tried telling your died hard Star Wars fan friend that Star Wars sucked? Perhaps not being at the extreme does not breed over zealous religous bigots.

Haha yeah I've thought of that before.

We've advanced, but not as much as we think. There are a lot of parallels between "modern" life and ancient life.
