America is supposed to be the land of the free. Free speech and all that shit. I beleive the governement is paying ISP's to keep high speed internet out of certain locations. Predominantly in the south is where you see lack of high speed internet connections. Why the south? Because the government still fears the south. Do they really want us to have more access to information? No. Fucking government. THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN>

Rise to what? More backwards religion? More racism? More redneck confederacies?
The south has no reason to revolt. It's fanatical Christianity is protected by "freedom of Religion", it's racist rhetoric is protected by "freedom of Speech". It has nothing to rise against. Especially while the government rewards uneducated, ignorant rednecks to live at poverty level and have as many offspring as possible - offspring that are taught by their parents to hate blacks, love God, drop out of school, have 5 kids, and leech off the state.
Do these kind of people really want access to information? Moreover, do we really need that many more bumbling fools crowding up our internet?
Rethink the whole situation.

Want more people to know the truth in the south? Grassroots operations are the best option available to those not in the high speed loop!

A fine example of what started out as "Grassroots Movements" in the south:
KKK
Tony Alamo Ministries
The "satanic" witch hunt that wrongfully sent 3 young men to life in prison/death row (West Memphis Three)
Little Rock 9 Debacle/Central High School Riots
The South sure is world famous for it's particular style of grassroots operations, isn't it?
The re-education of the South needs to happen in the public school system, unfortunately. The parents sure aren't going to raise their kids to have sensitivities to those who are different. Unfortunately this probably won't work, either. Once the evolution/I.D. argument began hitting the courts over our education methods, parents just pulled their kids out and decided to home school them, which is absolutely frightening.
I love the South, was raised in the South, and will probably be buried in the South ... but I sure don't have much confidence in our methods of assembling together as a civic force.

You are a fucking idiot.
The civil war WAS NOT about slavery AT ALL.
My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause.
Lincoln didn't give a fuck about slavery. There was one thing he was after....POWER!
Lincoln was a Hamiltonian who wanted a strong Federal government that supersedes the state governments and he killed 600,000 Americans to do it. Not only that he imprisoned congressmen who spoke out against him in the House, without a trial and he suspended Habeas Corpus(that is the right to be told what you are charged with and have a trial). Wow that sounds really constitutional doesn't it?
It sounds like you don't like your freedoms all too much either. How about we abolish freedom of religion and speech and demand that EVERYONE worship some fuckin wackjob religion and you can't say shit about or else you get executed on account of your impiety. Because, as you put it:
It's fanatical Christianity is protected by "freedom of Religion", it's racist rhetoric is protected by "freedom of Speech"
Wow we should just fucking abolish those freedoms right?
And the reason some people leech off the state is because the government wants them to leech dumbfuck. If the people leech of the government money, STOLEN from people like you and me who work and have jobs, then they are more easier to control and manage and they can't hate the government either because the government helps them and they wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds them.
But of course you yourself are ever the hypocritical collectivist (just as racism is collectivism) by grouping people who believe in STATES RIGHTS as "stupid fucking rednecks." You seem to think that someone 2000 miles away can govern and regulate your life better than you can, don't you, fuckwit.
And you'll try and say that I am for slavery now. And the truth of the matter is that slavery was being phased out WORLDWIDE and the British people didn't have to kill 600,000 people to get rid of slavery. The British Empire bought up the slaves from the slave holders and freed them. That sounds a little more reasonable than KILLING HALF A MILLION PEOPLE.
You are an ignorant fuck, and spew nothing but nonsense venom.

You are a fucking idiot.
The civil war WAS NOT about slavery AT ALL.
Where did I mention the civil war? If you took "redneck confederacies" out of context, then you're the fucking idiot. These people today couldn't organize themselves if their lives literally hung in the balance. That would require getting their fat asses off their couches, or out of the bars, and off the bottle and the meth pipe. And I'm not sure which century you live in, but from where I come from, slavery is no longer an issue. What are you on about?
It sounds like you don't like your freedoms all too much either. How about we abolish freedom of religion and speech and demand that EVERYONE worship some fuckin wackjob religion and you can't say shit about or else you get executed on account of your impiety.
How about we just leave religion out of public policy altogether? Else couple "Freedom FROM religion" right alongside "Freedom OF religion". Now there's a compromise!
Wow we should just fucking abolish those freedoms right?
First off, how would you "abolish" someone's ability to worship and praise an invisible entity? Impossible, unnecessary and futile. Secondly, freedom of speech shouldn't be compromised - ever. That it's used to swaddle people's backwards views and lends the right to shout it from a bullhorn if they so desire is just an unpleasant side-effect.
Oh, so these leeches are victims, now? Way to give 'em another crutch. We can't exactly hate the government for being smart enough to capitalize on the lazy, unskilled, overbreeding rednecks who aren't pulling their own weight. If not them, then some savvy business executive would do it. If the government (or any organization) paid the hard-working classes to prop them up, we'd have thousands of working small-town Americans fostering dumb, lazy rednecks in their backyard kennels for profit. It would be akin to the gov't regulated, inner-city Housing Projects. You know the ones, populated by the brothers, who are equally taking advantage of getting something for nothing, at our expense. All things considered, we might be paying for it - but at least the gov't is taking care of all the dreadful paperwork and arrangements. Who else is going to take it to task?
People like that are going to cop a free ride or die not trying, so while it's unfortunate that hard workers like us are under the obligation - er, tax mandate - to see to it that the do-littles have a sufficient household income, that's just the way shit is. It's these people who keep the government system in PLACE. If it were up to me, they'd just be completely cut off if they were unwilling to work. See how long Cletus would go without his 12-pack of beer and fresh can of skoal that he traded foodstamps for cash to acquire. I bet he'd find work the very next day.
But of course you yourself are ever the hypocritical collectivist (just as racism is collectivism) by grouping people who believe in STATES RIGHTS as "stupid fucking rednecks."
No, I group people who are lazy, superstitious, non-contributing haters and leeches (respectively, from the South) as "stupid fucking rednecks". I don't believe I touched on state's rights, or Lincoln, or slavery - that was your own rant. My posted observation was regarding modern rednecks, in modern times. Perpetrating backwards belief systems, and expecting it to become public policy.
You seem to think that someone 2000 miles away can govern and regulate your life better than you can, don't you, fuckwit.
Quite the contrary, fuckwit. Not better than I could, just better than the current corrupt-ees that are already in place here in the southernmost central states. One more generation from now, we'll just about be in the free & clear, though always tarnished by our embarrassing past. There are many good decision-makers and leaders in the dirty south, they just have to wait in line while all the old fucks already in place either die or are exposed for being complete fruitcakes.
You're a confused fuck, and seem to think this conversation is about slavery. It's about the lack of reliable internet connections in the south, and the many reasons why the south has absolutely no reason to revolt against anything these days - except for maybe their lack of ISP technology, which is probably a blessing in disguise, as I already pointed out.

The only reason you don't get decent internet out in the boonies is because the telecoms are a bunch of cheap bastards that just take their government money rather than using it to build infrastructure.

You should read the Acts passed into Law. Those are not exactly constitution friendly. In fact people aren't even principled enough anymore to fight for true freedom, they think safety is more important.

This is true, I am just waiting for something terrible, like shock and awe on the internet, that the government -like on 9/11- will use to justify making the internet safer and crack down with hi-tech programs for surveillance, to crack down on what people do on the net and use it against them.
Americans are too phat and to sissy to rebel.
This is true, the majority I see care more about:
- Fashion (effeminate men sicken me, personally)
- Acting and than Thinking
- Safety
- Sports
- "The Life" (Mansion, Sports Cars, Mad money) which I call the lie
- Soap Operas
- Pop Culture
- The latest Gadget
- Celebrities
All these things deception in my view, deceiving the people setting us up for slavery incorporated!
Why was the South brought up at all? I'm sure there are many places that don't have high speed access.

They already do, we all know what spy-ware is, and most of us have some form of protection from it, but the government has almost unlimited resources, and have the ability to make (if not already) an undetectable spyware program that reports the sites we visit, as well as the messages we may send.
All these things deception in my view, deceiving the people setting us up for slavery incorporated!
and as for slavery, it is still going on, just not in the way it used to be.
Anyone that has ever taken a loan, gotten into credit card debt, gotten a mortgage, student loan, etc... Is a slave.
Making minimum payments, you will either never get the debt paid off, or it will take you a very long time, at which point they will raise the interest, or institute a balloon payment, making you enslaved to work, just to pay the massive corporations who are all either one and the same, or mutual friends.
