What is the greatest experience you've had while meditating?
I've heard stories about people who "hear god" and etc.
Let the discussion begin.

I've felt tremendous amounts of energy throughout my body, usually enhanced when using crystals. I've yet to experience anything you might categorize as "supernatural" but I've been practicing meditation for only a few weeks. I can vaguely see auras under the right conditions, and I'm more and more aware of the positive and negative energy that people give off.
Haven't yet talked to God, but again, still new to this.
When I meditate the same thing seems to happen. It feels like a massive surge of energy is passing through my body...Could also compare it to feeling like I'm moving REALLY fast. Parts of my body begin to twitch and I seriously get a massive hard on when this happens. I believe it has something to do with kundalini.
Haven't done it for a while though. If I try again soon I'll report back.

cosmic giggles and light shows that blow anything from the fourth of july out of the sky
I timed the rhythm of my breathing to someone else's for an entire night while laying on my right side. Because of the effects, I am still working to make meditation a main part of my life, while keeping society's influences at a low while working to get "back" to "correct" perception.
The effects are indescribable of deep meditation. Absolute concentration and awareness is the answer to all life's problems, god, spirit, etc. Attention, attention, attention. It's hard to talk about the effects because you're in such a non-talking state of mind that it's impossible to say what it's like. It just opened so many doors for me.

In a group setting, I was able to fill the dark void of my mind with the images and symbols we were focusing on. It was a great experience, usually in my mind, there is only a void. I've been depressed as long as I can remember, and while I can imagine things, its hard for me to create the engrossing, engulfing pictures some people seem to be able to create in their heads.
Alone, the best feeling I got was of rushing, pulsating energy careening about inside my head. It was a feeling of pure electricity, and there was a ton of noise associated with it too. It felt like someone plugged me in to a wall socket and flipped a switch. It was great.

I've not really done any meditation in particular, I've got to try it some time ..
But probably a related thing; If I go out cycling at night (say past 10pm) along the cycle paths, when there's nobody around but foxes and it's pitch black outside apart from the streetlights, very quiet as away from the roads, I can get an amazing rush of totally euphoric energy as I just go along watching everything around me and contemplating it .. guess it makes me view things in a different way..
