Well Pro Cons
Army
1.) Money (they will through money at you)
2.) Better equipment/ living conditions
3.) They will take dam near anyone
4.) Easy Boot camp
5.) Your a soldier from the moment you sign the papers
6.) you will spend over a year in country
7.) Its possible to be an e-4 right out of bootcamp
Marines
1.) You will only get the title after you complete the hardest recruit training of the services
2.) No money maybe a few thousand if you enlist in a much needed MOS
3.) 7 Month Deployments
4.) People join the Marines to be Infantry unfortunately the school is full for the next year or so.
5.) recruiter will not promise you anything but the chance to earn the title and that it won't be an easy life.

Army Pro:
-big enlistment bonuses
-state of the art training equipment in state of the art facilities
- boot is like day camp and the DIs are nice counselors
- You can try to become a Ranger
Army Con:
- you get killed cuz your officer and NCO corps sucks cock
- Have the Marines save your ass along with your state-of-the-art equipment
- you get killed cuz your training sucks
Marine Pro:
- You get to be a Marine nuff said
Marine Con:
-Sand fleas and DIs at basic

No. Haze yourself. Boot.
Whatever you join, go into the fucking reserves. That way, it might conceivably be possible to transfer to active duty should you so desire, but you'll be a fucking reservist, and there are two types of marines: reservists, and those who wish they were reservist.

Well you are right you can work the system and use the reserves to get the MOS one problem though. The unit has to give you up meaning someone has to replace you.

If you are indeed so inclined to go active, rather than stay reserves. After you pass boot camp and SOI or MCT you'll get to your reserve unit, and you'll be leik "thanks FTC for telling me not to go active". You'll probably get sick of doing stupid shit one weekend a month, but that won't be nearly as bad as doing it every day.

Yes once a Marine always a Marine but if you choose to stain the honor of a proud Corps you dishonor those that came before you. You have no right to the title.
