If you had a choice between the following brands, which would you choose? Put them in order from most likely to buy from, to less likely to buy from.
American Eagle (http://www.ae.com/web/canada/index.jsp?WT.mc_id=searchGoogleUSNB&WT.mc_ev=click&WT.srch=1)
Bootlegger (http://www.bootlegger.com/)
Bluenotes (http://www.blnts.com/store.cfm?&ckey=CA&lang=eng)
________________
Personally, I'd go with Bluenotes, than Bootlegger, and have American Eagle on the bottom of the list

They are all from the same family of bland, generic, cheap trash. So, personally, I would buy from none. If you want basics, get American Apparel.
I think I have one AE shirt, that I don't really wear anyway...all of those clothes sux hardc0ar peen.
American Eagle
Bootlegger
Bluenotes
In that order...or none preferably.

I've only heard of AE, which I don't shop from. Try to think outside the box and quit buying the trash everyone else already has.

American Eagle.
Haven't heard of the second two, and refuse to buy A.E. because every American middle-class teenager has a closet full of that trash. Will be sticking with jeans and amusing t-shirts, thank you.

Really? In the UK, American Eagle stuff is quite cool atm and not exceedingly popular but it'll definitely get you noticed.
None of them. I don't support child labor. Or paying a retarded amount of money for a shitty polo that'll last me a month before falling apart.

1. Bootlegger: I adore Bootlegger. They have a variety of different styles that are fairly affordable for me, and they have great quality denim that I can actually afford. If I need cheap basics that are good quality such as tank tops, cardigans and pants I know bootlegger will have something, and I can also spend a little more on a really unique bag or dress.
2. American Eagle Outfitters: I would never, ever, ever wear a logo tee from AE. I would feel like an absolute joke prancing about in a $40 advertisement, and their logo clothes pretty much epitomize homogeneous. However they've got good quality denim even though it's a bit out of my price range, and a lot of their blouses, skirts and shoes are really adorable and not even recognizable as AE.
3. Bluenotes: I own a few things from Bluenotes but I find their girl clothes to be extremely juvenile. Bright colors and childish prints aren't really my thing and their denim doesn't fit well, nor does it look or feel like quality stuff. Bluenotes to me is where preteens go to get their first 'teen clothes.' A lot of their guy's stuff is very nice, though, and I've been tempted to buy my boyfriend some bootcut jeans, plaid button ups and zip-up hoodies for a while now.

The brand is exceedingly popular with the evil spawn of suburbanites, I promise you.

I try not to wear anything with logos, and I try to stick to more classic brands. SO, I wouldn't wear any of those brands.

Ive always looked at AE as being in the shadows of Hollister and A. & Fitch. I've only ever gotten some jeans from there, which were pretty sweet. Other than that, just go to Hollister or A. & Fitch or AX.
PS: Fuck you, yes im a hollister/A&F type of guy :)
I'm just gonna throw in that American Eagle shit is so cheaply made. Someone tore the back of my AE shirt in half just by pulling on it.
I imagine Aberollister clothing is as or nearly as cheap.

AE is just another generic preppie brand. I don't like their style, it's like a cheap imitation of Banana Republic or Club Monaco. And big logos are simply tasteless.
Bootlegger...meh? I don't wear jeans.
Bluenotes isn't very big around here. There's one store and it's never really busy. I got a pair of nice fitting white pants there, but that's it.
*ObZ
I wear a lot of AE because I WORK there, so I have the scoop on all of their shit. I refuse to wear ANY of their graphic T's, mainly because the only graphic is some creative way to splash AMERICAN EAGLE or AE or AE 77 or AE 1977 or a picture of a giant eagle all over it. It disgusts me. But they recently started making plain T shirts in various colors which I wear a lot. Their hoodies are extremely durable, and much cheaper than the competitors. But they fail at shirts because the material is cheap, expensive, and tacky. Sweaters and polos are fine, and every once in a while they'll come out with something I like. Although the polos tend to be too short in the front and overly long and tail-like in the back. They make a killing on their jeans, which are decently priced for the quality and last FOREVER. I'm pretty sure AE outsells Hollister AND A&F when it comes to jeans.
I don't know about the other brands, never heard of 'em.

Well, presumably, you are not going to be buying clothing from these brands for their edgy styling and design, you are going to be buying cheap, basic t-shirts and jeans and shorts and the rest so instead, I suggested AA for the people looking for good-quality, albeit slightly more expensive, basics. Get it? Got it? Good.

I buy my jeans wholesale. I pay dirt cheap prices for quality instead of a name. So all of you can run around with your pre-ripped jeans (because bleached and ripped jeans are high level denim ) wow, just wow.

I can tell just by that sentence that you are long haired and greasy. You probably do drugs and wear t-shirts that say "Metallica."
Nobody wears pre-ripped jeans. Especially not me.

I'm also going to hop on the wagon and call you a nub. When I think of "extremely high quality" denim, I'm thinking 7 For All Mankind or Agave.
In any case, Bootlegger 100%, I am in love with Silver jeans.

American Eagle is my favorite brand, but I don't wear the stuff they have that has the name plastered all over it, unless it's the occasional hoodie. Most of the stuff I buy from there has that small, tasteful eagle on the left hand side.
I also love New York and Company, but I noticed that's not on the list. I've never heard of the other brands.

I haven't hear of the other two bluenotes seemed to have the nicer clothing, although a rip-off of several other stores. And while AE has nice things sometimes, I can normally find them in the Ralph Lauren Polo section of Dillard's. I've had yet to find a hoodie without a giant fucking logo on it, nor a hat, or shirt, turning me off to clothes I NORMALLY might have gotten, and I've heard their jeans are extremely expensive, so I have yet to buy some, but I might give it a shot.

This. And like, I said: I HEARD they were extremely expensive, in the $70-$90...for a pair that *doesn't* look like a generic composition of denim fabric in the form of legs. Again, like I said, I was going to look for myself sometime.

Funny how that works, you buy a pair of jeans that's $20 and they'll last for ages. You buy a pair of jeans that are $200, and they'll last for ages.
However when you buy something in between, they'll fall apart in six months.
