Well you are probably stressed out. Whether you are defending yourself or sueing hiring the right attorney makes the difference.

You might not even know where to start, but today I am going to provide citizens of the U.S with a valuable resource.

In your state you have what is known as a Bar Associaton. Some major cities have their own Bar Associations, but I will have to fill those in Later, this is a general thread.

When you go to the links below, (find your state), you will be looking for a serivce called "Attorney Referal", "Lawyer Referal" or something similar. This is a free service and is usually done via telephone or e-mail. It may take a whil (30 minutes) to get some one on the phone, but it is worth the wait. You will be asked something along the lines of:


What your problem is.
What happend.


When the call is finished they will recommend the following:


Attorney type
A few recommend attorneys names
Contact information for those attorneys


You need to ave a sheet of paper and a working pen ready if you use the phone service.
